    Default Examples: Alpha and Delta

    Hi everyone --

I'm hoping that some of you will provide examples of Alphas and Deltas. (Photos, videos, or in the case of famous people, just names will suffice.)

    Delta

    ENFp:
    ISTp:
    ESTj:
    INFj:

    Alpha:

    ENTp:
    ISFp:
    ESFj:
    INTj:

    Thank you all

It's not entirely accurate, but Socionix Gallery can be helpful.

"It's not entirely accurate" is beautifully understated, but trut, there are some correct typings in there.

Tuturututu, I'll check out those videos in a minute.

Does anyone have an ISFp example? An ESTj?

I would advise people to ignore every example presented by tuturututu. IMO his examples are mistaken, wrong. IMO he has no idea what he is talking about.

I think Eric Bana is an Alpha or a Delta.

it's easy for me to identify (most) alphas, (all) betas, and (almost all) gammas...

I still have trouble sometimes with deltas (minus ENFp and ISTp males) bc I tend not to notice them.

    So... Please, everyone... deltas

P.S. Eric Bana is IXFp. and Angelina Jolie as ISTp is wishful thinking on Rick's (ENFp) part

Juju what about the other thread you started about this, where you asked for famous Deltas? Unless you don't agree with the couple of typings I did .

How did they type people on this? Did they make a target with the types listed than pick a celebrities name out of a hat, throw a dart and wherever it hit, that would be their type?

I'm fairly certain that having Al Gore as an ESE-Fe automatically disqualifies the list.

ETA: Or Vin Diesel in the same list as Leonardo Da Vinci as LIE.

I don't know exactly how they do it, but I suspect it involves extispicy.

Here's my list of people I'm fairly sure are Alpha and Delta (I don't know if you wanted fictional characters as well, JuJu, but I threw some in anyway. )
    ALPHA
LII: Sylar (Heroes), New Spock (and presumably Zachary Quinto himself as well, but I haven't looked into it), Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice), Donatello (TMNT), Daniel Jackson (Stargate), Andrew Largeman (Garden State), Sam Winchester (Supernatural)
ESE: Robin Williams, Sam (Garden State), Turk (Scrubs), Michaelangelo (TMNT), Adrien Brody, Kristen Bell (also her characters Veronica Mars and Elle from Heroes), Allison Mack, Sealy Booth (Bones), Bill Cosby, Keira Knightly
ILE: Doc Brown (Back to the Future), Jim Halpert (the Office), Weird Al, Daniel Faraday (Lost), Jeff Goldblum
SEI: Pam Beezly (the Office), Orlando Bloom

    DELTA
    EII: David Duchovny
    LSE: Sherlock Holmes
IEE: Michael J. Fox, Wayne Brady (maybe?), Torg (Sluggy Freelance)
SLI: Frank (the pilot guy from Lost), Richard Dean Anderson, Harrison Ford, Viggo Mortensen, Riff (Sluggy Freelance)

Obviously people will disagree with some of these, but this is who I have on my personal type list (for famous people/characters, anyway). I left off some of the less certain/more controversial typings.

Ashton has a peculiar view of the LIE, and the list has its fair share of individuals with probable Se-egos. But considering that Ashton is likely an SLE who self-types as an LIE, this is not too surprising at all.

I still see Judge Judy as ESI. I guess I see her as more scathingly getting on people for "why don't you give me Te?" "why don't you give me something that makes sense?" "I didn't ask for that, I specifically asked for this?" "Are you really this stupid?" rather than trying to explain things in the monotonous way that LSEs do. Te dominants provide the role of "helping others with Te" and sometimes their Fe role can show somewhat prominently I think... Te DS on the other hand demands Te from its environment. So I guess I see Judge Judy as aggressively screaming "give me Te!" and using her creative Se to reel it in. If people won't give her Te she will be relentless until she forces it out of them. She also generally wants to cut through all the crap. Anyway, I'm storing away LSE in mind (not so much Judge Judy as she only represents something to me) but just that sort of variety of LSE, and how that would work.

Also, I see Elle's character on Heroes as SLE. I had seen her as perhaps EIE until I saw her in Season 2 and then seeing it all together I was thinking that really SLE makes sense to me. I think that she was acting like an ESE though when she gave Sylar the pie (in the Season 3 flashback episode) and that being very able to "play the part" she needs to play is one of her talents. She's a chamelion. But I see her as an SLE one.

No way, it's very hard to see Judge judy as an ESI over LSE if you don't compare just the information element, but the types description as a whole.

I thought Elle and Sylar seemed like duals, but I haven't really sat down and analyzed them and their actions piece by piece, so I could be wrong. Just my impression.

Oddly enough (considering her adversarial relationship with Sylar), I do think that Claire Bennet is an ESE.

Also, Daniel Jackson of Stargate may be an EII.

But be sure to add the fictional characters to the Alphas in Fiction page (and locate others!).

I havn't thought much about Claire's type. Intuitively she does seem like some kind of SF; I'll need to think about it (and watch some more Heroes ).

Ahhh, that makes sense. Socionix is not particularly compatible with Model A Socionics in the first place. For all I know, I could be an SLE in that system

The last famous people I typed as Deltas:

    EII: George Stephanopoulos
    SLI: Oscar Peterson

Edit: Previn maybe a SLI too.

As far as his successors go, I would have to say that Randy Waldman, who's probably an LSE, is doing a wonderful job. Marian Petrescu (some Se type?) probably has a better technique and has copied Peterson more authentically, but his style is a little rough and unoriginal.

I don't know much about his successors, but after watching this bizarre video:

...I'd have to agree with you on probably LSE.

Or perhaps a more appropriate and unassuming question would be: Do you listen or play Jazz?

LMAO. I know that video... and actually, I have already posted it here: http://www.the16types.info/vbulletin...jazz-chef.html! He's such an amusing guy. He's a professional musician, a pilot and a funny cook apparently. I saw him live a couple of months ago but didn't get to meet him even though I really wanted to... He doesn't have a huge musical appearance on youtube, but here's something different:

    Also, check out Petrescu:

Mostly old stuff, I've only been listening for the last 4 or 5 months, so I guess its mostly mainstream.TBH I don't really know what is supposed to be mainstream and what isn't.

He doesn't have a huge musical appearance on youtube, but here's something different:

YouTube - Prelude in c#minor Randy Waldman Trio
    Different is good.

I agree with your assessment of Petrescu being unoriginal. Don't get me wrong, Oscar Peterson was great and everything, but I think we should all move on.
