Default LII's indifference; deciding what to do with your (life)time

    * Descartes was very concerned on doubt and what we can be certain of. I've been there myself and still am. I suppose I should really read his works at sometime to see if I can gain something. (I know you recommended that some time ago tcau)

There is such a field as "interdisciplinary studies". You might want to look into that.

I found Descartes's "Meditations" to be an excellent gateway into philosophy. Looking back on it, I think it's a little simplistic, but it definitely still has that INTj thought process behind it. It also depends on how you feel about religion (something else to think about...).

I think more than half the time, when INTjs do extra research it doesn't aid change, but only makes the panic go away. In my experience having a supportive environment helped to institute action, which always had to come from me. Otherwise, outside crises forced me to act (like choosing which college to go to the day before acceptances were due), but deciding what to do with your life doesn't really have any deadlines except self imposed ones. There might be cases where physical deterioration can hinder goals (like, running a marathon when you're 80) but, not really. I know very active 80+ year olds.

also, Rivers Cuomo says that you shouldn't ask what the world needs, but that you should do what makes you come alive; that is what the world needs, more people to come alive. Heh. I agree.

A great answer. It sums up the impossibility to describe in words what you mean, yet you understand that there is a deep insight behind the answer.

what an ISFp you are, miss k. (; jk. i do agree that bit makes you sound sort of gamma.

i agree on the bit about physical deterioration, very much, and i also know a ton of very active 80 year olds (btw, best thing ever about spain is finding 80 year olds who still go out and party and love life and live "actively", not just "waiting to die.")

Rather, an INTj needing something to play with. It's like logical loop, on a bigger scale.

Mostly Ni, because it was a contradictory statement that is ostensibly supposed to have some kind of deep meaning. Fe (rather, Ti > Te) simply because it lacked Te.

No, i meant it, but it's like meaningless because there is no content. Like, saying "it's either raining or not raining". My statements are typical of an INTj who is stuck saying these kinds of things and needs to have something to evaluate.

Your statement was nothing like Logos's. In retrospect, yes, it doesn't make much sense, but that's not the point. The part about "instituting action" was what struck me as praise of ESxp behavior.

heh maybe it's praise, but I just think about it as: UDP's asking how to make a decision and i assume taking action on it. I have been able to take action the ways I said, by having a supportive environment and making the decision myself, and I've also actually taken action on decisions by outside influences as well.

My statement not like logos's.. should it have been?

Oh no, I thought you were making a comparison to it.

For the record, much of what you said is applicable to introverts in general.
