I’m writing this post to apologise for deceiving the forum users. Although this deception was for what I view to be a good reason, that reason is now gone and I feel that it would be best to own up.
I posted on this forum under the name of ‘Tanzhe’ for a time in an effort to discover my type. Due to a number of factors, the discussion on my type carried on over a number of topics, and eventually clocked at over twenty pages of discussion. The forum members who were trying to help me were running out of ideas, and I was growing increasingly frustrated. I also had a feeling that the topic, which centred on whether I was an INTp, INTj or ISTp, was focussing on the wrong types altogether.
I gave Socionics a rest for some time, and was planning on returning as Tanzhe when I realised that, by going by the name of Tanzhe, typing me would be made more difficult by other people’s preconceptions about me. So I decided to start afresh, using the name ‘Five’.
In my view, the decision to post as Five has been beneficial as my type has been identified, beyond reasonable doubt, as ISTj. When this conclusion was reached, I looked back at my posts as Tanzhe and saw that the possibility for being an ISTj had been ruled out during the first page of discussion, confirming by suspicion that we had been on the wrong track altogether. I also felt somewhat bad at how I had wasted so much time and energy of the forum members on needless discussion that centred on the wrong types.
I apologise for deceiving forum members, but I thought that it was necessary. I am unsure how you will react to this apology, but I hope that you can see the problem from my point of view.
Again, I apologise.
