Default Horatio Caine in CSI Miami

David Caruso - but i'm interested in what his type is on the show? For some reason I've always thought his character was just the coolest guy on TV...lol If I could be a tv person I think it'd be cool to be him...lol

a few pics from the show...

Emily Procter is kewl and possibly INTp I don't know the type of the fellow yet though. The role he plays is kind of T however.

One thing that I've noticed a lot on the show is how he barely ever shows any emotion at all no matter what happens.

    for instance...
His brother was badly beaten and killed on last night's show. His brother was still alive and hanging in a small shack in the middle of a forest when Horatio and his partner found him.
He looked back at his partner and just said, "get help." with no realy expression on his face. Mind you this is his brother... So, he cuts his brother down and he's all messed up and ends up saying a few last words. After he dies, Horatio stands up and just puts his glasses on and says, "I love you brother." and just walks away to get the bad guy...etc.
I just thought it was so crazy how he showed pretty much no emotion while watching his brother die.
    blah.

lol. He is great in some way, but me and my INFp sister always whine about how "good" he is. He makes promises that he might not be able to keep, he is always emotionally attached. I actually find his fake coldness somewhat irritating. "Oh come on man, what's wrong with you?! If you feel something, just show it." He just forces visible emotions down and then still acts upon them. He constantly looks like he's constipated and he has all the signs of bottling up emotions. He's almost twitching from being so emotional and trying to hide everything!

Oh, almost forgot, I think he's delta NF.

    He is INTP I think.
Well I am back. How's everyone? Don't have as much time now, but glad to see some of the old gang are still here.

    Default Horatio from CSI: Miami

Has anyone seen CSI: Miami? Heratio strikes me as an ISTp. Si in any case.

Very plausible type for him. I like mocking the character from my side of the TV screen. I mainly make fun of things that can also be linked to Fe PoLR. He is as affectionate with his girlfriend as he is with his suspects. He gets all emotionally attached and starts promising stuff he can't really know about. "I promise we'll catch the murdered" while he only has minor and circumstantial leads.

Yeah, he's definitely a caregiver type. I considered ESTj, but ISTp makes more sense.

bullcrap. He's NF. He doesn't emphasize anything close to business logic. Rex Linn is a good example of a Delta ST. He's ESTJ on the show. . I've watched this TV show too much. Emily proctor is great.

NF? I don't see it. He doesn't seem to have a Se PoLR (so INFj seems unlikely), but I suppose I could be one of the other Fi types. He seems a great example of a caregiver type. He's all about taking care of people. It seems to be all be concerns himself with. As for Te... it's not so much that I see Te. It just makes more sense than ISFp or ESFj. Fi > Fe, Si > Se

Rex could be ESTj. He hasn't been a major character in the episodes I've seen so I'm less confident about his type.

A few people typed him INFP when I made a thread like this some time ago. I can't see him being an ESTj at all, but he is one of my favorite characters on tv these days. I've seen every episode of csi miami that's been broadcast or on the dvd's... I've seen most of the original CSI shows but for some reason I really got into Miami and rarely ever watch the NY ones at all. I think it may be the characters in Miami that I like more than the other shows... or maybe the larger amount of beautiful women...lol

he takes care of people's external/internal emotional states. "don't be upset, we'll get this guy." Si takes care of people's internal physical states. Food/sex etc. Big difference.

Yeah, I'm considering that, too. Not sure what I think yet.

Agreed. In all the series I've watched I never noticed much of Si in the character. I see Horatio as NF too.

If NF, it would have to be ENFp.

I hate watching CSI. An overrated show.
