ISFp-XXFp: The Oracle
Function order:
Si -> Fe -> Ni -> Te -> Ne -> Ti -> Se -> Fi
Ne -> Fi -> Se -> Ti -> Si -> Te -> Ni -> Fe
This type is a forewarner against future catastrophes. The Oracle always assumes
a role requiring of them insights into the future; they can predict exact times
and places of events, even catastrophes. They possess a deep sense of
apprehension and responsibility in regard to these events which they skillfully
infuse into their peers. Although aware of what is happening at a time, they
are unable to see the future itself; they possess, rather, a vague sense of
semi-suggestibility, an ability to anticipate where people and things are going.
But they can never know who or what is creating the event:
perceives only
magnitudes, not relations. They see the portents of the coming event in the
relationships of their time. It falls to them to ward off "the apocalypse". (
)
They receive suggestive content regarding what
forces can produce the
coalitions necessary to ward off the event or to change it in some way.
A
course of action is approximated by which to influence the
relations
of others. The course of these relations in time is then charted from that point
forward as a function of
personal knowledge, the object of which being
to determine the road forward from the present time to event. The subjective
coloring of this road creates a
feeling response in the oracle, which at this
point spills out of the oracle's mind and into the
collective subconscious.
The forces responsible for the coming event spontaneously become aware of the
coming catastrophe, but are
limited by the existant
relational dynamics between
them. The Oracle moves at this point to produce a
subjective experience for
these forces which is responsive to the Oracle's
feelings. This change in
internal object dynamics may change the course of history.
The Oracle again peers into the
future, which may have changed due to the
consequences of their influence; but even if the original portent has been
positively influenced in this new vision, a new
crisis is never far behind.
