Which types very often go to Partys/Clubs?

Im ISTJ and i hate going to clubs.

It interests me because i want to know how big the chance is to met my dual at a Club.

I'd say ESFps stereotypically would be more likely to be interested in going to parties and clubs than a lot of types. ESFjs, too.

ummm... while I think this depends on the individual a lot, I'll say this...

    extrovert > introvert
    sensing > intuitive
    and maybe irrational > rational

ENFjs like clubs but from my experience, the middle-range versions: not too chaotic, but not too big either.

ExxPs are the ones that like clubs the most I think. Actually, all the types that have high reactivity to external stimuli tend to like them, so only IxxJs have some difficulty there, ime.

    Thanks!
I also thought something about like this:

    extrovert > introvert
    sensing > intuitive
    and maybe irrational > rational

    @FDG
That thing with the middle-range versions sounds good!
You mean something like a chillout house/latino/whatever music bar-club?

Not that kind of "let tonight be judgement day" club?!

    you guys are awesome....

I have not met one IJ who really enjoys clubbing or similar. It certainly isn't for me.

Roughly, I'd say it's like this:

INTps and ISTps - don't like it much
    INFps - it depends
    ISFps - rather like it

ENTjs and ESTjs - don't like it generally, ESTjs might like it more
ESFjs and ENFjs - more inclined to like it

    So you will find approximately

    then ISFps
    then INFps
    then INTps and ISTps
    then ESFjs and ENFjs
    then ESTjs
    then ENTjs
    then INTj, ISTj, ISFj, INFj

I would think the two INTx types would be at the bottom, perhaps along with INFj.

    But those are all 'stereotypes'

The difference is, INFjs will not generally say no if they are asked to go - they don't enjoy saying 'no, that's not what I want to do"
LIIs probably won't ever go unless they like you or find you useful.
INTps may go if they have an interest or are captivated by an ESFp
Since ISTj/ISFjs are aggressors, they might be the most likely IJs to go out on their own means

False, at least for me. I would never go to a club, unless it was to see a band that I really like. As for saying, "No, that's not what I want to do," that's what I tell people when they ask me to be more social than I want to be. But you're right in that I don't like saying it; it's just false that I won't say it.

    Is that better? -

Most often ENTp, ESTp, ESFp, ENFp (they need it cause of high reactivity to external stimulation)
then ISFps (rather like it than the types below)
    then INFps (it depends)
    then ISTps (???)
then ESFjs and ENFjs (more inclined to like it)
then ESTjs (like it more than ENTjs)
then ENTjs (don't like it generally)
then INTps, INTj, INFj (may go if they have an interest)
then ISTj, ISFj (go out on their own means)

    That's my take, for now.
Switching the final two lines, definitely.

Speaking for myself, an INTj, I would never ever go out to a club, unless someone important to me wanted to me to go with them or some other wonderful situation. It would only be due to loyalty, as I have no interest in such things. Not my chosen atmosphere at all. Loud, noisy, people just out to "have a good time", lots of people: not my way.

Hmm... im ISTJ, im 21 Jears old and was 2 times in a club.
    1 times when i was 16.
1 time this new year eve.

I really really really hate it cause i've made very bad experience with going to clubs and for me it makes no sence going there unless i have a use for doing that and its all-important.
Also i feel incredibly terrible beeing under large amounts of people if im not that drunk that it doesnt matter anymore.

I would put myself at the bottom.

Any other ISTJ's here? Did they also feel that terrible?

Maybe i dont like it that much cause im currently drug addicted looking kinda sick and i didnt feel well in my body

I have no idea. My guess would be esfp.

I used to enjoy it but I think i'm outgrowing meeting drunk guys who assume you'll go home with them that night. For some reason it just doesn't have much appeal anymore. Maybe i'm getting self respect, who knows, lol. And there's no way you could enjoy a club sober. You have to be completely messed up to even tolerate the people at those places. blech, i'm sick of it.

I don't see any incentive in going to clubs, but I agree that I don't like to say "no". Since the people around me go to clubs, I don't like to let them misunderstood and think that I'm been anti-social and not interested in hanging out and having fun with them, especially the ESTps.

I know some ESFjs and ENFjs and in my opinion in case of going clubbing ESFjs > ENFjs.

Question: I've got my dual as Girlfriend, ENFj, how could she be my dual if she likes going out that much while i hates it? Shes going out with her girlfriends and leave me alone but i dont really like that shes doing that. When she goes out she is decently but its an contentious issue every few weeks comes up...

    My list now:
Most often ENTp, ESTp, ESFp, ENFp (they need it cause of high reactivity to external stimulation)
then ESFjs (more inclined to like it)
then ENFjs (inclined to like it)
then ISFps (rather like it than the types below)
    then INFps (it depends)
    then ISTps (???)
then ESTjs (like it more than ENTjs)
then ENTjs (don't like it generally)
then ISFj (go out on their own means)
then INTps, INTj, INFj (may go if they have an interest)
then ISTj (dont give a shit anyways, wont go if its not all-important for them)
Can someone approve this? Someone have doubts about it?

i would say the end of that list is probably inaccurate.

probably the better list would be something to the extent of

    ESXp
    ISFp, EXFj
    INFp, ISFj, ENXp
    anybody else

You should look for the other resident ISTjs. Zillah is one she doesn't sound anti-club, but I cannot speak for her.

I think I am neutral in terms of my view of clubs in general. My ESFP friend despises clubs with a passion and I know my ISFJ cousin seems to enjoy them, so those are a few inconsistencies I've noticed. By the way Dorian, are you Pawnatron in a different account? Just curious.

I personally don't think it is as consistent and thorough as that, since there are other factors that are involved in determing your taste for clubs that are most likely external. I have a love/hate relationship for clubs. I love them because of the high external activity that has been mentioned several times in this thread. However, I hate them for how incredibly stupid they are. Also, I despise getting drunk at a club to just pick up the opposite sex. I view it as a coward's way in, in my personal opinion.

I think clubs are awesome because you get a chance to interact with the opposite sex without any inhibitions. I love the high energy and aura you receive from the fast paced music and light. In the other hand, I think they are stupid because the music is too loud, which results in less communication between people and having to rely more on body language. There's isn't much variety and options in a club other than: dance or drink.

@niffweed17 your opinion is very important for me but i dont know how to apply it on my list. Please write down the list like you would and explain.
(is ESXp, ISFp, EXFj, INFp, ISFj, ENXp your finished list?)

@UDP youre right... have to wait for other istjs

@Traveler im german and my translation tool don't know the word "Pawnatron" http://images.google.com/images?svnu...ron&btnG=Suche
You are ENFP, my mom and my sister are also, i know them very well and ENFPs really have to be one on top of the list if ley like clubs or not.

My mom dont go clubbing , shes 50 years old but she have to meet people 3 times a week most time at her favorite pub.
Maybe saying "going out and meet many other, also unkown people" is better then saying clubbing.
...or whatever you will call it...
i dont expect you will complety understand me Mr. Psychologist (conflict relationship)

Its more about that "why" in case of the mental functions because of that i try to write behind every type something like "they need it cause of high reactivity to external stimulation". Come on People give me hints!

Let us try to act on the assumption there were no Bad experiences at all.

it shouldn't be. i tend to agree with those in this thread who have stated that such preferences as these, although perhaps type related in that one would be infinitely more likely to find an ESFp at a club than an INTj, it is difficult to really hammer out the specifics. that is why my list is so generalized.

Ah, your translating all the words using babelfish and you don't know any english? That's a very good way to bypass language barriers I must say. Interesting, I wonder how the relationship between you and your family members are. I've noticed that conflict relationships are not necessarily about arguing, but more along thinking about how much of a stupid annoying asshole the other type is all the time. Not that I've experienced that yet.

Yes, age is a factor as well, since a lot of people turn into working hermits after the age of forty, not all though. It's good that your mom is still going to bars at her age though. Unfortunately, I long for something more entertaining and diverse than what is used the majority and is easily accessible and used by many. Thanks for the response Mr. Inspector.

I go clubbing twice a week when i can, i love it.

I guess it might have something to do with type. However, any type can enjoy clubbing if they have an appreciation of the music.

    @niffweed17, nice answer, thank you

@Traveler i use http://dict.leo.org/, a german translation tool, for translate single words i dont know
(i know my english is bad, my german speeling skills are as well ^^)

The relationship between my Mom, my Sister and me... Its 24/7 thinking about why they could be able acting and beeing dump like that, it really hurts me very deep.
Im not living at home anymore since 6 months... i couldnt take it anymore... living with them together is hell, my sister kicks holes at the door of my room.

There was a moment my sister and my mom spout on at me both at the same time and im was just sitting there on my computer doing what i like to do. Then they began to scream and hustle me, i just keep on sitting there.
They keep on beeing a pain in the neck - so i stand up, took them at their necs (they keep on screaming BLABLABLA), walk with them out of my room, park them, close the door, lock it and go back at my computer, do what i like to do while they keep on screaming.

    @ that guy
any type can enjoy clubbing if they have an appreciation of the music.
I listen music i like at home, no one can hit my music taste like i do. I could not really enjoy music i like with other people in clubs if im not totally drunk or know most of them well.

The clubs i go to play the music i enjoy. Hearing stuff i haven't heard before is part of the fun.

Plus, most electronic music is made for clubs, so it seems like the best place to hear it.

I'm ENFp. And I'm not interested in clubs.
Think sweaty bodies, people dancing and bumping into me, drunkards trying to walk past me when the club is already so crowded, these things turn me off.

Pubs, cafes, and bars are way better IMO.

The ESTps and ENTps I know love to club. ESFps, not as much. That's just IME.

Yeah, that doesn't suprise me: clubs are nothing if not Fe.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I'm pretty confident that ISFjs go to clubbing with no problem. At least in the upper half of the ladder.

Maybe she'll drag you out. You know, habits can also change sometimes.

I think perhaps the better question to be answered in this thread is not the rated frequency of club attendence by type, but why (or for what reason) would each type actually be at a club? Because at its heart, the original question appears to be one that is asking "Why are certain types at clubs/bars more frequently than other types?" There will examples to found of all types or none going to the club, so the circumstantial "I've never been to one" or "I've never known Type X to go" is not terribly valid even as a collective series of responses. The "why" is the essence of it all.

Is that a hypothetical question? I guess so.

Your dual is not the person most likely to share your interests in terms of hobbies, activities and such. If you go by such criteria, you're more likely to meet, or hang around with, people of the same Socionics club , that is, ST, SF, NT or NF. That is why mirror couples are so common, imo -- you have the same quadra and the same club, compensating for the mutually-annoying temperaments.

Your dual is someone with whom you naturally feel most comfortable with, so you don't need to share such interests to feel good with each other. A good example here is Slacker Mom (ENFp) and her husband (ISTp). He's crazy about cars and such, what doesn't interest her at all, but it's not an issue whatsoever from what she tells us.

However, especially among younger people, probably same-club relationships are much more common than same-quadra ones, let alone duality; precisely due to this reason.

To answer your question: if you are ISTj and with an ENFj girlfriend, in a more serious relationship, she will be less inclined to go out with her friends so often; or she may drag you along on occasion as FDG said.

I even know an example of this. An ESFp female friend of mine was married for 10 years to an ESTj, who had been her bf at college. They broke up and reconciled rather often. She left him and then got together with a guy who I'm almost certain is an INTp. She told me that she'd never have dated the INTp when she was younger; "I wanted to go out all the time then, have fun, it wouldn't have worked out".

I quite like clubbing as a change. My friends never want to do it but i find it an interesting social experiment. Pubs can bore the shit out of me if its quiet. Lately i have been going to really busy pubs with beer gardens etc which still have an element of excitement.

If you're on some type of drug, lots of things are awesome.

I don't really think I'd like clubs from what I know of them, although I might come along if friends begged me or whatever. It would take a freaking lot, though. From what I know of them, there's nothing there that would interest me.

Well, hmm. I dunno. But not in the participating part at least. It might be interesting to watch the goings-on from some dark shadowy corner, peering mysteriously over whatever beverage I can obtain for cheap.
