Very astounding methods, she goes off what she tried on her own using common sense. There also seems to be a strong sense of logics. For instance, she created an entire body typology.
She figured out how shading modifies the face and makes transformation tutorials in which she shows how to change what feature to what and how. I take these vids with a big grain of salt since (as you already know) I've become a sharp critic of the makeup industry/beauty cult, but it still is quite enlightening technique and anatomy-wise.

I don't know what type she is, but she didn't create anything. The body type system she made videos about was created by David Kibbe in the 80's, but she didn't share the info in any of them (which I personally disapprove of). That being said she has a gift for illustrating and explaining his rules and guidelines in an appealing and easy to grasp way. Kibbe is EII imo, he's prose is too "poetic" and his assertments vague, so a lot of women get confused.

Most of her makeup videos are just rehashes of what other gurus have already shared a long time ago, I didn't watch all of her videos, but enough to know that. Again, she speaks better than most youtubers, so I"d recommend her tutorials over theirs.

Her red lipstick video though, is pure misinformation, absolutely incorrect in all thechical aspects. There is a system that scientifically measures a person's skin characteristics and asigns them a corresponding color palette for clothing, makeup and acessories. It's called Sci-art, honestly it's painful to hear her giving out bad advice and knowing loads of women are gonna follow it.

Spreding disinfo and therefore misleading people (whether intentionally or not) is of my biggest pet peeves, maybe that says someting about my type, but anyways, just had to share.

I'd be down for it, "Personal Color" as is being called in Asia is spreading like wildfire in Korean this year. Loads of K-Youtubers are posting videos about their own analysis, they're quite funny really. Japan is on it too, even CJ&M did a video on it:

Kibbe is Ethical, but I never got to watch his old VHS video to see him in action, so I'm going by written interviews. I have the link to the original CMB color system in the 80's that includes models being typed (there's even a black lady yay!). I can link you to it to put it on the OP if you ever open that thread. The body type system is super accurate but the test is dubious. I test as Theatrical Romantic, but I look like a kid dressing up as mom wearing those things. I'm Soft Gamine, which has a lot of Romantic in it but I'm tiny and baby faced. I say compare yourself to the examples given on her follow up video and you'll be able to make a more informed choice.
