I was reading something about him and was wondering if he might be ISFp.

I didn't include my reasons for thinking that because they aren't very good reasons.

1. He reminds me of my ISFp father-in-law
2. I read that he has an "aw, shucks" way about him that I associate with ISFps.
3. The only people I've known who have been really into airplanes are ISTps, ESTjs, and ISFps.

Not good reasons. So I could be way way way off base.

I know next to nothing about him as a person, he'd probably be a Carefree type, so EN or IS.

He was also "stubborn" in his political views, so Obstinate - IT or EF.

From that, ISTp, which does fit everything else.

I just read in Wikipedia (I am assuming it's correct in this particular case) that he married the first woman he ever asked out in a date; even if an exaggeration, it fits ISTp.

EDIT: ok, ISTj could also fit, but overall ISTp sounds more likely.

ISTp was on my list too, but I'm trying to not assume everyone on the planet is either ENFp or ISTp.

Well, I don't know if that was your case with Lindbergh but you'd naturally find people of your own quadra easier to identify with and admire.
