Default Information Elements According to Transigent

    Functions According to Transigent

First of all, actions are not functions. What "functions" stand for is how your brain interpretes the "information elements", therefore, functions give YOU information on which YOU act. The functions tell you where you are, who and what is around you, and what you are thinking, but you are ultimately responsable for actions themselves.

The extroverted functions give you information about the world that is outside your conciousness. The introverted functions give you information about the world that directly influcences your conciousness.

Sensing is about that which is directly perceptable to the senses. Feeling is about the emotional centers in the brain. Thinking is about things that can be exactly determined through directed concentration. Intuition is about everything in your brain that is unconconsious and felt through "hints".

Extroverted functions send the outside perception to the S, F, T, or N parts of the brain before the information reaches YOU. Introverted functions let YOU connect with the S, F, T, or N parts of the brain.

Everyone is continuously using all 8 of these functions. "Type" is shorthand for how these functions interact. The mechanism of the interaction of these functions within a person is unknown, but assumed to be a function of "type".

    Pure Objective Perception
    Source: Reality
This function is responsable for: Obtaining in the mind a raw picture of reality in detail.
What it does: Sees the actual thing in reality in detail complete with all the parts, the forces involved, and the space that it occupies.
If this ever ceased to function: You would not be able to see, hear, or feel anything outside of you at all.
    Practical outcome: Awareness of Reality

    Pure Subjective Perception
    Source: Subconscious
This function is responsable for: Obtaining insights from the subconscious.
What it does: Takes a general fuzzy outline of reality and references it to memory and subconcious, drawing out similarities, differences, etc.
If this ever ceased to function: You would not be able to do anything that you haven't already done exactly, one change would destroy you.
    Practical outcome: Awareness of Possibility

    Ordered Subjective Perception
    Source: People
This function is responsable for: Determining internal state from emotions, actions, and reactions.
What it does: Notices people as something worth attention, and references the various details of their reactions to determine thier state.
If this ever ceased to function: You would not notice that a person is something different then a toaster, or that a smile is different then a frown.
    Practical outcome: Awareness of People

    Ordered Objective Perception
    Source: Objects
This function is responsable for: Determining the names, uses, and functions of objects and events.
What it does: Sees objects and events in detail, differentiates each object and event with respect to another.
If this ever ceased to function: You would not be able to distinguish one object from a different one, or one event from another.
    Practical outcome: Awareness of Events

    Pure Objective Apprehension
    Source: Body
This function is responsable for: Monitoring the sensations of the body and the state of it.
What it does: Obtains the various sensations of the body and its parts, and feels pleasure or pain based on these sensations.
If this ever ceased to function: You would not be able to feel your body, and you would become numb.
    Practical outcome: Awareness of Body

    Pure Subjective Apprehension
    Source: Imagination
This function is responsable for: Monitoring the mental imaginations, memories, and dreams.
What it does: Reflects on past events and future outcomes and entertains various internal representations of reality.
If this ever ceased to function: You would forget your memories and your own conception of reality and existence.
    Practical outcome: Awareness of Soul

    Ordered Subjective Apprehension
    Source: Feelings
This function is responsable for: Feeling any type of emotion or connection.
What it does: Instinctual subjective value judgments and reactions to things, connection of yourself to another person or thing.
If this ever ceased to function: You would be equivalent to a computer and have no attachments to anything.
    Practical outcome: Awareness of Emotions

    Ordered Objective Apprehension
    Source: Thoughts
This function is responsable for: Thinking any type of controlled thought in the mind.
What it does: Controlled thoughts of any kind that seek a determination or conclusion about something.
If this ever ceased to function: You would not be able to concentrate on anything or hold any thoughts in your mind.
    Practical outcome: Awareness of Mind

or not as it would be, as a consequence of actively trying to do this:

appear to be a consequence of the shut offs.

I like the oscillation between this:

you missed one of the most important points from that post...

we all are capable and constantly doing all of those things regardless of type.
