Default So my 1 year anniversary came and went...

...and I thought to myself, "Hey, it's about time I questioned my type again!"

I'm sure I've posted enough for everyone to have SOME kind of opinion, so let's hear 'em

I know Kim has something to say on this topic, so if anyone is stuck between ENFp and another type, you may want to hear what she has to say.

For the record, the personality types that I identify with most readily are (in order):

    Oldham Inventive
    Enneagram 7w6 so/sx/sp
    Big 5 SCUAI
    Enneagram 3w4 so/sx/sp
    Oldham Leisurely

With regard to the dichotomies and such, I see myself as Infantile, Merry, Positive, Result-oriented, Relaxed/Reasonable, and Constructivist.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Ah, thanks for reminding me. Would a mod please add INTj as a poll option? I've heard that more than once.

    This is a valid point

But seriously, I don't know that I could be dominant. I tend to get along with them really well, because we're both always up for anything, but I don't know if I quite have them in the energy department. I see the capabilities I have related to as more central in my personality.

I voted ENTp because your general view on life is more similar to alpha than beta. (I saw INFp as an option).

Seeing as ENTp is seemingly the leading choice, would anyone voting otherwise offer an explanation? Would appreciate it

I COULD see you as INFp because of VI - you have very dreamy eyes, almost feminine because of the softness. In my experience ENTps have lively but masculine eyes. On the other hand, you VI as ENTp in most other aspects and your descriptions of your general mindset resemble ENTp more. Especially your reaction to inactivity and quickly getting bored with the "same old stuff". Also, from what I understand, you're somewhat hedonistic in your future plans, IF you actually decide to make any future plans. INFps on the other hand can't stop planning things. They seem to have some future plans all the time. It may be idealistic and non-realistic, but I'm not sure how long they can live without the plan.

I agree with FDG. I see you as Se dominant.

But not cause of the sex and the drugs, but because your mode of behaviour, the just go for it, say what's on your mind, actively engage and fight with the other person, I've never observed that in ENTp-s and seems to be stereotypical of Se dominant types. ENTp-s have a much more of a... cerebral approach I'd say. A style much more tailored for the gentle ISFp. But I don't know. I could be catastrophically wrong. Am I?

It is difficult for me to really say. ISFps, INTjs, and ESFjs I know all have the 'alpha feel' to them. I honestly don't know much about ENTps. You don't necessarily fit that alpha vibe, but I don't know how to explain it very well. You could be ENTp, though. I don't know them, or how well I get along with them.

    However, in regard to ESFp-ness...
This series of pms you just sent me reminds me exactly of my interactions with one ESFp. The same sort of phrasing. Consider the first pm -- that was very similar to what an ESFp approached me with once, that sort of question. Curiosity in that way. But of course, that's just theoretical --- I'm saying that it is possible.

I think the distinctiveness of the EP temperment may be what you're missing, and may also be the reason you don't think you know ENTps (they're easily mistakable for ESTp/ENFp/INTj, depending on subtype). The fact that Alpha is the lowest-energy Quadra and EP is the highest-energy temperment could definitely cause some confusion in identifying ENTps.

Well, energy is relative to the context. But, in general, when I say energy, I basically mean the will and means to partake in an activity that involves expenditure of some kind at any given time.

I meant the flip-flop thing. Smilex (smilingeyes) is the one who is always taking about the fluidity of type within temperment (which I agree with to some extent).

Well, he did claim to be ESFj for a while...
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

You may have typed yourself correctly in your sig.

You are NOT an INTj, and I don't know why you thought I was INFp for so long.
You entirely mistook my intentions in approaching you. The INFp thing, if you haven't figured it out by now, was a poke at heath for his comments about my friend and I.

Gilligan, I have been disappointed with peoples' response to my typings (which often, though not always, are accurate).

How much would you be willing to pay for me to find your type? Its' an honest question and also how can I convince you about it.
Well I am back. How's everyone? Don't have as much time now, but glad to see some of the old gang are still here.

I don't have any money, and even if I did, it wouldn't be wasted on self-discovery (at least not this kind  )

You can convince me with a good solid argument about functional manifestation, and perhaps a few dichotomies thrown in.

Somehow that reply doesn't entice me to try too hard.

i see why people think you're dominant (sex/drugs, that sort of thing.) i think a lot of ENTps can seem that way, but it's more like some ISFp-seeking functions coming through, i think. i still don't think this means you aren't ENTp, though. the only thing that makes me think *NOT* ENTp, is that you seem slightly *MORE* balanced than the ENTps i know, which really, is actually meant to be compliment, all things considered.

plus, i mean, god, "permanent sensory and emotional recharge" pretty much describes you.
