Default UDP -- again. Submit your thoughts, and back them up.

    Well, let's go.

Gilligan thinks I'm INFp --- I want to hear your reasons for it. Anyone who thinks that, state why.

Any other type ideas go ahead.

Let's here them all, actually. I am asking for everyone's opinion --- even if you don't fancy yourself Socionically inclined. Go ahead.

    I'm waiting.
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.

I highly, highly doubt that you're INFp. In the event that you're Beta, I'd say ISTj. Gamma? INTp.

    I'm changing my stance.

    1) VI makes you look INFx, from what I remember
    2) You are not Ti dominant. You don't have similar syntax, post content, or reasoning style to any INTj on this board. You also don't post -substancey things; you seem to prefer to talk about the effect Ti has on your life experiences and decisions, how it impedes your cognitive processes, etc. I hate to use the same kind of reasoning that I once refuted coming from rick about me being an ethical type, but your posts tend to draw attention to your emotional/life state more often than your concepts, ideas, or deductive conclusions.
    3) You really just seem like you need that kickass Te initiative boost in your life to get your ducks in a row and get you on the track to doing something productive in the outside world. I know that's worded poorly, and it seems alot more negative than I want it to, but it's the best I can do for now.
    4) You just feel NF to me.

I'm beginning to think that you are the same type as mcnew, or perhaps his mirror.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I just see the two of you as having similar posts, motivations, and methods of contact with others. That's all, really.

I won't doubt (for now at least) that Ij does fit best. I'm thinking INFj at the moment.

hmm, so 4 out of 4 have voted intj so far....did gilly press the wrong button? or did not press any button?

    anyways, i voted intj obviously

UDP, i've already pointed out in another thread an example of your Ti writing

somewhere someone recently wrote about how some of the more enlightened intjs acknowledge the need for ....i can't remember the term used....but basically, direct experience. They recognize the need to set their feet back on the ground, and maybe return to it once in a while.

i see some of the intjs that i actually like doing this (i like them because they do this) i admire them for it, they are stepping out of the "typed" box and stretching

    just my $.02 worth

I don't think you're INFp or any Beta.

I do think that you are an Alpha or Delta IJ, so INTj or INFj -- actually I can see INFj, but then, intuitive subtype.

I also remember that from your very first long self-description, I thought both INTj and ISTp -- perhaps INFj would be the answer.

I don't have any particular reason not to see you as INTj, but I don't see a particular preference of Ti over Te in you.

I was trying to figure out my teacher's type today. After a little while I realized that he looks kinda like you. I can totally see him as an INTj, although I have to admit that he's SERIOUSLY different from another INTj teacher. The other one was very similar to INFjs, although he seemed more alpha than delta. (Ne-subtype, blurry line between INTj and INFj).

This teacher (the one I saw today) is very similar to ENTps - he's very scruffy-looking and somehow "sharper". Still, I wouldn't type him ENTp just yet. He's somehow different from them. I think both of you might be Ti-subtype INTj.
    EIE, ENFj, intuitive subtype.

    That doesn't sound INFP.
That sounds like you lack Fi so I don't think you're INFJ.
You're asking us to help you figure out something. That's not the politest way to ask. I mean, we don't have to look at yuor past posts and read INTJ descriptions and help you figure it out.

None of what you post is INFP in any shape or form. I agree that you remind me of Rmcnew a bit. You seem to dislike Fe except what you say sometimes borders on Fe. Your pictures seem J to me. Just the lines on your face and body are very 'angular' and 'straight' and 'tense'. Although sometimes you strike me as rash which doesn't nesscarily mean P. You're different from Oy and the other INTJs I know. You seem judgemental.

Quit using lame, worn out comments and get with the program. Things have changed

Quite honestly, I am fairly confident in knowing my own type. But I wanted to see wht other people said here.

I will have to consider Expat's "ISTp" suggestion, though... there is a certain role model that i had which was ISTp, and I really don't know too much about them in general. Still, I am partial to one type out of the others.

You're right about most things in your post.

In relation to what is directly above, about "acting" in your second, I would like to add that I am extremely INTJ in MBTI terms. If the personlaitypage.com profile is actually fairly accurate, which surprised me.

I am am judgemental at times, especially if I'm irratated or don't believe someone.(Though this is usually calculated in an effort to force the issue out...) If someone is looking like they don't know what they are talking about, (( Gilligan)), then I do not approach it "reasonably". My respect dwindles. Not that I really have anything personally against Sir G, no. But this whole line of argument about me being "INFp", or even more so, "ENFp", is completely absurd. And I can fathom how those ideas might come up across the internet. But in real life --- in actual reality, in practice, this is not the case at all. For lack of better terms, it is so incredibly not true. It's like telling an ESFj that he is too cold and logical for your likings... it borders on insult.

Quite honestly, the main intention of this thread is to see how many people are foolish enough to consider me having an F in my ego block. Fi or Fe. If you sincerely believed this, then you need to reconsider some things, because you are wrong. I've found it incredibly amusing to here Gilligan's claims that I am INFp, which is completely absurd. Now, granted, I've developed some F via being dualized a bit, living with an ESFj, and some other alpha quadra members for a time. So if you consider that in terms of my Fi role, you could say that I've learned Fe somewhat. Bottom line: Fe, and Fx in general, is something I enjoy. I just enjoy it in other people..... and I've learned to interact with other people on that level somewhat.... but it is not me. And it most certainly is not in my ego block.

    As for my type:
INTj is the most likely in my book
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.

that doesn't have anything to do with the resolute/reasonable dichotomy. in brief, that dichotomy is defined as

resolute = always prepared for any setback or unexpected occurrence
reasonable = takes things more as they come without necessarily attempting to foresee problems

    Hmm.......

Things don't really "throw me off balance".
I enjoy trying to forsee things, but I don't know how good I've been at it for most of my life. Until recently (a year or two ago), I actually had a pretty bad concept of the future. But now, I'm very concerned with it. I enjoy planning things out more, and I work better planning things.
