Default To Writers and Roleplayers: Typing Your Creations

Do any of you who write, roleplay, or make characters for projects in general, do you find yourself assigning them a type? Has being on this site conditioned you at all to consider a sort of "type" in your mind when creating a character? I've found ever since I stopped lurking here and started posting for real, that I've sometimes thought about what sorts of sociotypes the ones I'd create would end up as.

I often do this when I'm writing a story. I think the better your understanding of people, the better you will write a character which personality type is easy to find.
