Since basically everyone here seems to be practicing various forms of occultism, and honestly I want to include the Jesus crusader paladins and clerics and not just the Satan pagan warlocks and wizards under that since most people don't look for Jesus powers either, share ideas here. I'd put this under Lifestyle except I don't think it'll be a Share Your Spells thread like a cookbook or something due to multiple aspects of the nature of the subject matter.

Lately I have become intrigued by chaos magic. I just ordered a copy of Frater UD's Practical Sigil Magic today. I can't wait.

Most ppl are not into occultism in here. There are some into that, some are religious or christians, some are atheists, some are agnostics etc...so no idea what do you mean with everyone honestly.

Yeah, not sure we can find out either way but the forum does discuss it a lot. Tarot, astrology, The Secret (which is popular among mainstream religious people) etc.
I prefer call it spiritual practices than occultism, since most religious basic knowledge, for example christianism is not occult but open (in the bible or religious books). Happens that most don't read it or go into that, or do it casually.
To answer at your poll, I'm not into magic neither occultism. I was years ago when I was younger (cards reading, astrology, sorcery, numerology, astral projection, new age, the secret etc), but I became christian 7 years ago so I don't practice any of that anymore.
If I knew how to do magic, I wouldn't tell anyone about it.

On one hand, I agree with not giving away all of one's secrets.
On the other, without comparing your results with those of others, you can never know how you are progressing.

Yeah V and U are the same letter in Latin. You'd have to really be skimming to read UD as IUD. That's the point.
Oh, if you really didn't get it @Aramas's joke was that VD is venereal disease, and I don't think UD is much better because it reminds me of IUD or intrauterine device.

Also, I'm imagining the two High Magic books at the bottom of the page as being about doing magic while stoned. Doesn't being stoned already make everything seem like magic?
Also, of course chaos magick is the hardest and of course it has devils everywhere, the definition is pretty much the idea of genius before it meant someone with a certain number of IQ points. Which also makes it the best and easiest in a way, but not when interpreted by a telephone game line of 50 different idiots (or maybe that's also better, because it's more original. Long live the chaos.)
I have a hard time with meditation. Getting past the first stage where you get body off i.e. lack of physical sensation is pretty difficult. Most I've been able to do is get sensation in my arms to switch off. I can't keep the rest of my body stable enough. (Note: I'm not talking about lack of sensation from lack of blood flow.) Magic in terms of Hyatt and RAW is easier for me.
