I am moving to either CA or MA (both blue states alas) so this test could turn out to be a life-saver. My results:

    1.
    Forestdale, MA 02644

    1.
    Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92091

How the hell does this work? It tells me to select a state, but when I do, it gives me a town within that state so it isn't very helpful overrall.

Interesting to combine it with this test: http://time.com/7612/americas-mood-m...s-of-attitude/ which gives you a matching state based on Big Five survey data.

According to these two tests, my best match is Floyd, New Mexico. Some village with 133 people (2010 census).

I think it gives your nearest five matches, in the form of settlement name + ZIP Code (which could feasibly mean you get the same settlement five times but with five different ZIP codes).

    Burlington, VT

I like some things about the West Coast, but I'm an introvert and I like to keep to myself and be a private person. I feel the culture around me is adverse to allowing people to be private people. It values extroverted traits in general despite being stifling in various ways.

Um, sounds like a "wonderful place."

Anyways, I got Henderson, NV after selecting NV as a state. The reason I selected it was because I used to live in NV (Henderson is on the outskirts of Vegas).

Santa Fe is an amazing place. Full of artists and Feelers.
Albuquerque is also pretty nice, but both places are running out of water and are not indefinitely sustainable at their present rates. See them while you can.

I got Connecticut in @Attis' test, which makes a lot of sense now I think about it, based on my interactions with people from that state compared to the average in the U.S. So to serach for Connecticut, I got

    Middlebury, CT 06762

Democrats are only 38.8% there, excellent.

I checked out street view. Looks like my kind of vibe.
