In Enneagram theory, there are three drives, or "instincts" that are key to our survival needs. Some say that they are so deep that they penetrate into our unconscious, dictating our very desires. Each person has a "stacking." This test assesses your dominant instinct. Your second highest result will be your second instinct. For instance, you may be a self-preservation dominant with the sexual instinct as your second result. Then, you would be a sp/sx.

The only thing I don't understand about being Social is that it's either about belonging to a group OR making change outside yourself, ...the latter is far too foreign to me. People I know are far more important than larger communities and pop culture. Ofc I choose to be oblivious to any groups that have bad influences on me, so it's not like I don't see what trends are talked about I just get sick of them

I suspected I was a sexual variant, but I wasn't completely sure. I was primarily torn between sexual and self-preservation (social is pretty much non-existent for me), but sexual seemed to be a little more accurate. I can be very self-centered and individualistic at times like an sp variant, but my neglect of basic health/hygiene and physical well-being as well as my disinterest in living a safe life seemed very unlike self-preservation.

Honestly, more I think about it more so/sp seems to fit, no matter how much I don't like it. I am only focused on sp concerns when I have to, but it is not something I am as concerned with. But if I am shown any sign of belonging I get so utterly happy and hyped up and giddy, it is ridiculous. (Also the sense of always feeling I don't truly belong a group and that others are closer than I am to them is something I really get nervous about if I let myself into a group in the first place...

I got so first; sp and sx tied. I think I'm so/sp because I'm an outcast due to disliking society. I'm antisocial (not the disorder). I have longed for one person to be with but the dream is dead and hate filled the void. Society and social trends are stupid imo, involving people pretending and the insincerity grates on me. But I too pretend to go along with it to survive. So my resentment grows for I feel forced to be insincere which is the deepest sin to my being, what will evoke the most self-hatred. But there is no other way because I will not survive otherwise. I despise the world for requiring such a trade-off. I hate collectivism even as it forces my compliance, because it forces my compliance or threatens death. The word "community" disgusts me.

Still typing Sx first in these things, although it's close. I even went back and answered some of the questions differently since I'm often torn on the Social vs Sexual questions. The Sexual score was even higher the second time. I've always resonated strongly with issues around both.

I'm a little surprised Sp isn't higher since I've really worked on that consciously for the past 5 years. But the shortness of the test didn't allow for much nuance.
