I'm not feeling particularly depressed, but it's that time of year and I like these kinds of songs. I also want to be exposed to some new moody singers.

The decisive thing is not the reality of the object, but the reality of the subjective factor, i.e. the primordial images, which in their totality represent a psychic mirror-world. It is a mirror, however, with the peculiar capacity of representing the present contents of consciousness not in their known and customary form but in a certain sense sub specie aeternitatis, somewhat as a million-year old consciousness might see them.

My mother is taking care of him, although it is hard. She said that he doesn't even want to listen to music anymore.
I spent some time with them for Christmas. I played Bruckners 7:th symphony (posted above), and I noticed that my dad paid attention to the music. Then he came and sat down and we listened to the whole symphony together.
Bruckner is very deep and romantic. I guess the music has to be able to confirm the persons state of mind but at the same time give structure to it and develop the moods further. Anyway, I got the feeling that Bruckner was therapeutic for my dad.
