what blows my mind is you don't seem to realize he's directly pulling on Jung. its just like this random snippet that you assess based on the surface without realizing this is the kind of stuff socionics is grounded in. its not just a story is the point, the point is that mythological narratives are metaphors for the psychological development of humanity. thus its not a story designed to channel the collective unconscious as if it arose out of it, so much as it is an attempt to capture the relationship of man to his unconscious directly via a narrative that preserves the meaning to that relationship in the telling via mythological metaphorOriginally Posted by Olimpia

Uh yeah he is obviously familiar with Jung. He frequently mentions Jungs in his lectures... And sure, he is obviously talking about metaphors there. I don't think that is anything new?
my point is you act like he's telling a story when he's really making an analogy for real psychic processes. if you liken him to EII its because EII draws upon archetypes in order to express fantastical images and ideas, but hes drawing on archetypes in a way to express the mechanics of how the brain actually works and how being itself operates and expresses itself, not to "tell a story"
Ben Shapiro's views were so narrowly contrived--he ignores entire aspects of being human--that I can only see him as vastly immature and in a lofty position not commensurate with his rhetorical skills. He makes leaps in logic, he lacks overarching strategy, and he doesn't listen and address peoples' concerns, resolving the debate and moving humanity forward, he just speaks very quickly with memorized speeches that SEEM to contradict what someone said but don't really address the multi-faceted issues at hand.

The story itself is quite - when you think about it. The dragon being the manifestation of the fact that there was a problem in the relationship structure within the household, which could only be solved once the "dragon" or rather the issue was being acknowledged and a man/father figure joined the household.

It seems like an EII wrote that story. The setup of that theme is rather Childlike. I could see most children's stories like that being written by Delta NFs.
