Default Post A Song Addressed To... You!

Let's try this, with courage. You know the exercises of talking to your (past) self that you imagine as external so it becomes accessible, this goes into the same direction. Post a song that is addressed to you by you so to say - it's like inviting a third person through which your message is conveyed. It can be heavy, light, humorous, serious, English or not, anything, no genre is off limits either.

    Starting. A candid one:

I hope you find a way to be yourself someday,
    In weakness or in strength,
    Change can be amazing.
I wish you could be honest, I wish you could be honest with me.

    "Come with us today
    Come with us don't stay
In the mist of your mind you will see
    You are not so real
    Welcome to the Void.

    Come with us and play
    Come with us don't say
You can no longer see, hear or feel
    Deep beyond the pale
    Welcome to the Void.

    Come with us today
    Come with us don't stay
In the midst of your mind you will see
    You are not surreal
    Welcome to the Void.

    Come with us and play
    Come with us don't stray
You can no longer see, hear or feel
    Deep beyond the vale
    Welcome to the Void."

“My typology is . . . not in any sense to stick labels on people at first sight. It is not a physiognomy and not an anthropological system, but a critical psychology dealing with the organization and delimitation of psychic processes that can be shown to be typical.” —C.G. Jung

Acceptance of flaws, defects, oddities or just of self with time to birth into something wonderful...don’t feel insecure...all a reminder.

Caged myself in some teachings of the church, followed some flawed idealisms, put my feelings and needs aside, was born into a lack of support and accepted it as normal but now no longer do.
When at worst in this caged world I wish I could fly free rather than attack with words.
Ultimately I caged myself in this world through choices I made...but can one ever truly be free here?

First boyfriend had mother and sister pass this song on to me which was played at his funeral. It serves to not only remind me of that part of my life but makes me think that really I am the only person who truly knows why I do what I do.

Ive always related to Vincent van Gogh

    This swedish one

    Found a translation:
You walk in your inimitable way
Over the schoolyard's gravel by yourself
In your newly cut hair, like an Irish idol's
Your reflection in the window glass
    Admires every step you take

    And then it flashes
    Green, red, yellow lights
You were on needles when you came
    With your smuggled-in intoxication

And then they darken down, for one last quiet chance
And everything blackens in panic when you see that everyone already has a dance
    And all is like before

And you remember who you were with contempt, a little hatred
And one becomes like one's mother or father
You have changed your ways, erased every trace
But in your soul, yes far, far inside, echoes the teenager's roar

    And then it flashes
And they turn up all the lights
And you were alone when you came, now the magic has burnt out
    And then they darken down
All the signs, all the lights
And when the park lies empty, you realize that your evening has just ended
    And everything is like before

    And then it flashes
And they turn up all the lights
You were alone when you came
And you are just as alone now
And then they darken down all the streets, all the houses
And when the city lies empty you realize

That this is what your life looks like
    And everything is like before
