seems reductive and low res, but I'm also sure there's something to it. I think VI is hooked in to things via this as well, with hormones not just effecting cognition but also physical development

I made a thread about this a while ago, though I kind of dropped the ball by not replying to anyone on it, lol. My guess was serotonin = Si ego, dopamine = Se ego, estrogen = NF, testosterone = NT. Though, LII doesn't really fit w testosterone IME.

I see you're approaching it more from the perspective of what would make sense within socionics intertype relations. I actually think it might have the power to explain a lot of the long-term relationships/friendships we see that are not necessarily good socionics fits. Like other members have pointed out ESEs and LSEs often end up together. Personally I know a fantastically solid SEI-SLI couple and an SEI-LSE couple.

I like this! Dopamine/Explorer. Slightly overlaps with what I posted in the Braverman Test Thread:

    Dominant nature:

    Dopamine 42
    Acetylcholine 19
    Serotonin 16
    GABA 13

    Director logic base
    Negotiator ethics base
    Explorers extraverted irrationals
    Builders introverted irrationals

    2nd variation

    Director logic base
    Negotiator ethics base
    Explorers mid quadra irrationals
    Builders alpha delta irrationals

Hard to pin it down. This is not necessarily about thinking style but more like along lines with lifestyle.
    Just a guess

    I did a test
    #1 Director
    #2 Exploder

Directors are analytical, decisive, focused, inventive, competitive, independent and strategic-minded. They are also daring, original, direct, non-conforming, skilled at abstract thinking and short-term planning, often assertive, tough-minded and efficient.

I was reading the first "type":
Explorers are curious, creative, adventurous, sexual, impulsive and self-reliant. They are also known for high energy, novelty, risk and pleasure seeking ways, and not being easily swayed by opinion.
And I was like okay. Then this:

The Explorers want the stimulation and the novelty of the big city, says Dr Fisher, who suspects President Barack Obama is an Explorer. He’s got charm, and the Explorer has charm to kill. The high-dopamine type is comfortable in his own skin. Look at the way Obama moves. It’s beautiful.
How does Obama fit that description AT ALL? He's a stable, boring, dry "good", politician. What is sexual, impulsive, high energy, novelty, risk and pleasure seeking, and not being easily swayed by opinion (he's fairly in tune with what most of the world considers "right" and so on) about him? Lol. This article is hilarious. By the way I do not relate to any of them.

I found the poll and test that @Subteigh set up here.

I took the test again and got the same result, negotiator/director

running for president is not just boring shit dads do, it actually takes a shitload of guts and charisma

if you look at him in his younger days he was very social

I think your perceptions are just colored by your attitudes towards politics in general which happens to be of no great personal interest to you

the high energy thing for example is a huge perceptual thing: Trump is supposedly high energy but by all accounts is way less active than Obama (more vacations, more tv watching, less actual business taking place) etc. Obama just did not self promote as the image of "energy sex and adventure" but I think a closer look would reveal he embodied it rather than making his focus projecting a mere image of it

There was a similar test some years before, I remember getting a mix of director and explorer.

According to this system, I believe I´d have the highest compatibility with a builder-explorer.
