So.. the "bad" ones are something like the diplomatic subtype of INFP + obsession with relationships or some sort of disorder?

The bad ones are emotionally hurt attention suckers. They believe everything should be their way, so they are bossy and pushy. They have a habit of seeing things that aren't there and have unshakable beliefs. Think Willey Loman from Death of a Salesman or Grandpa Simpson from "The Simpsons".

I'd simply characaterize them as unhealthy INFps: Obsession with their data percieved by their dual seeking function, and convinced of the validity of the data perieved by their estimative function.

The "bad INFPs" sound like they tend toward the extremes described by histrionic personality disorder, of being emotionally manipulative and narcissistic "attention suckers" as it was so nicely described. I've become very interested in personality disorders lately and it seems like you can make at least a rough correlation between type and p-disorders. When I'm feeling bad I sometimes become mindlessly histrionic to soothe my wounds or I become manipulative and burn for revenge. I think a lot of INFPs can be angels and devils at the same time.

I know an INFP girl who will be talking with a group of people and will either slap someone or kick their chair if nobody was listening to her when she spoke. And when I said there are "Devil" INFPs, I didn't mean that all of them were bad at heart, they just come off as being made from the fires of hell (the spoiled brat INFP). If anything, though, I think it's more of an act. Either that or they really do have personality disorders. What I've learned is that if you get to know these INFPs they are not mean or cruel. They will still get angry if they don't get something their way.

Actualy, I don't think so. She looks like an INFP girl I know. She even has the same Devil-type stare and expression on her face.

What about male INFPs? As a male INFP I'm quite intrigued, as your descriptions are most definitely biased for females. There are INFP males y'know, rare breed though we are.

Has any other INFp who is a musician/actor/performer experienced this Jeckyll-Hyde phenomenon of stage vs. social life? For example, off-stage I am usually really aloof and reserved. On stage, I can let loose and let the music take over completely? It sort of feels like you are two completely different people. And, as most performers/musicians are really loud people, I sometimes feel like I'm an outsider - a lone introvert in the business of loud personalities...

Me too. Loud people unnerve me. I am learning the cello now as Cone leaves it at home while he's at college. Used to play the piano so I can read music. I'm hoping things get moving along quickly as I get bored very easily if it takes a while to get the hang of it. I listen to violin music almost every day. If the cello goes well that will be my next project. Actually the violin is what I want to learn but with a cello sitting upstair, I figure I'll try that instead of spending the $$ on an instrument I may never make a go of. I know what you mean Baby by getting lost in the music. It's like every part of my being vibrates with every pull of the bow. I get on such an emotional high that it's almost like a sexual experience. It leaves you quivering and shivering all over. I'd love to be an actor too. Always thought I would do well with very emotional parts. I did play Mary the Mother of Jesus for a three-day performance. I got many compliments for putting my heart and soul into the part.

Yeah that's why I like soo much the electronic parties After 7-8 hours of nonstop dancing (no drugs here!) I can't feel pain, tiredness can't feel my legs, can't feel my arms.. I just feel like my body has terrible limits and I want to jump out of it. I'm the music and the music is me

It's good to know I'm not the only one who's experienced this. I think INFps tend to interact with music very viscerally - at least, that's my experience. , I've never been to a party like the one you described but I've heard about them. It sounds amazing - drugs optional.
