what is your impression of this old Italian practice, I heard on the radio the other day that during the Great Depression it was common practice to go into the fields and pick dandelions and sauté them with a little olive oil. This is a very green dish, which correlates well with other things.

Has anyone else tried this and found it pleasant? Let me know please, maybe I'll have to search around for some special greens.

Yes - from my old Italian neighbor in fact. Its good! We also tried burdock root - he pulled the weeds growing healthily and undisturbed in his yard, cleaned up the roots, sliced, breaded and fried them - delicious! He could really cook...

"Having a clear faith, based on the creed of the Church, is often labeled today as fundamentalism... Whereas relativism, which is letting oneself be tossed and swept along
by every wind of teaching, looks like the only
    attitude acceptable to today's standards."
