Accused of supporting terroristic groups and now isolated by its fellow Gulf States. Diplomats are forced to leave, airspace got closed, Qatari and overall Gulf market rate going down, people stockpile food since Saudi groceries will no longer be imported. Iranian ties are also debated as problematic now because of weapon trade and the state's involvements in proxy wars.

This is why we need an Apollo Project-level effort to get off foreign oil. The more leverage we're able to put on the Qataris and Saudis to stop funding this, the better.

In the meantime, if the US and EU are both on board then sanctions would work. We'd need both top buyers to be willing to choke them off (with the raised oil prices that entails) until they provide clear evidence they've stopped, though. If only one of the two bites, then it probably won't have much impact.

As far as Iran, that's harder to deal with via sanctions because Russia and China are also huge markets, and due to their close ties green-lighting an Israeli strike risks WWIII. I'd continue to support their liberal reformists with media aid, we also need to negotiate some terms out with Russia and China to ensure they won't enter if we do need to strike a few nuclear silos. The latter are unlikely to get involved due to their close trade ties with us and Israel as well, the former is a big concern though.
