    Default ISTP (SLI) Come here!

It's been many years since I've learned about personality, and I've never met a verified ISTP before... Come here so I know what you're like.

What do you like to do, what are you hobbies?

    Be back tomorrow!

    CHeers!
I know I joined a while ago, but I'm really a newbie, so cut me some slack. I know the MBTI?

I love shopping because it leads to discovery of possibility by means of market research (Te) via the necessary sequential deductions among tangible goods (Si)

Hey, are you an ISTP? Your knowledge of personality is too advanced for me, but it seems like you are saying you "should" like shopping because it is what your functions would "technically" fit and be most at home. But do you really like shopping?

Correct me if I'm wrong, I was under the impression that deltas were more conforming to society, not bikers.

Biker culture is about freedom. SLI are the quintessential individualists. It follows that the two would fit well together.

Home building centers, watching Pawn Stars, tinkering on a car, building personal green houses, owning sports equipment but never using it because that would involve effort, "classy stoners" who have nice home theatre systems, at parties holding a drink and sitting in the furthest corner of the room hoping they get noticed by the livelier people (and not asked - forced - to participate).

Maybe you like shopping because you like to live in the world of tangible visible material goods Se

    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

    Hello.

As we reach for the stars, we must put away childish things; gods, spirits and other phantasms of the brain. Reality is cruel and unforgiving, yet we must steel ourselves and secure the survival of our race through the unflinching pursuit of science and technology.

Read descriptions of types, functions and dichotomies. Check examples of types (IRL, in my lists in signature). There is no other ways, besides these obvious ones.

That's always an option, but I come to these forums to ask people their experience with the types in real life.
