Default Post a picture of your cosmetics/skincare/personal care stuff/etc.

I just thought this would be an interesting sort of slice of life thing that wasn't your hands or your shoes or your handwriting or something. So here's my example and feel free to post any shot you'd like. (Dick picks will be assimilated)

There's a little table by the bedroom door and I've ended up taking it over bit by bit and pushing my boyfriend's stuff to the side (he has like, inhalers and cat treats) and he's not allowed to put his wallet there anymore, it's too dirty.

Here is the box and what's in it..

Tho these are old pictures and the real inside of the above box is more messy than this. I used to have this box as well, but it got slightly broken during my travels and so I gave it to to my old lost-eyed stoner dealer who sometimes came to our hookups with a pet dog that looked like a wolf, lol.

You guys really don't want to see my collection. It's bad. I have like a whole moving box full of makeup I don't use. I feel bad for my husband because like you lily, I have slowly taken over the bathroom one inch at a time. I'm hoping that if i just put one thing in there at a time, he won't notice.

I think i have some kind of minor hoarding situation going on. I try so hard to use up lotions and perfumes so I can finally throw them away and feel some sort of inner satisfaction of having used an entire bottle of lotion, but then when this happens I go to the store and buy like 3 more to replace it. It never ends.

I look like I'm a makeup hoarder here...

Smaller items like lipstick, mascara, and blush go in the drawers. Larger items like palettes and brushes go in the basket.

That sport face stuff broke me out so bad lol. But those plastic drawers are a good idea, i need to get some. I hate that I have like no room in my house to put my gigantic makeup collection.

The irony here is that half the time, I never even look like i'm wearing makeup....yet I have an entire department store worth of it.

I'll post my skin regimen & hair prouducts. Not even gonna try to post my makeup as its all crammed into a drawer & sloppy looking inside... half the things I got free from work & don't even use. maybe I'll pull out the things I use daily for work.

I wish I was more organized with my makeup & brushes like @April. That looks beautiful to me.

I like your perfume collection @Kore. I don't have perfume right now, just lotions and body sprays. They are so expensive here, but I have my eye on Escada turquoise. That will be my next treat to myself.

This thread is making me realize I could go through my stuff and discard quite a few things I'm not using at all, or that I use infrequently. (That always makes me happy!)

Not even half of it... but on top does contain my daily skin regimen (and oral care). There is baby oil in the clear pump bottle, I use it to remove makeup.

The bottom is mostly what I use on my hair (and more oral care lol). Shampoo/conditioner, baby power and apple cider vinegar not included.

Here is everything I use on my face (the little jar has coconut oil in it, which I use to remove my eye makeup and moisturize at night). There are two foundations there bc my aunts gave me one as a gift, but I still had/have half a bottle of my usual kind to use. Oh, and the gross-looking kiddie toothbrush is what I use to smooth my eyebrows.

I didn't think to include body lotion or hair stuff, but I use those too. Body lotion is hemp something or other, and hair products (besides shampoo/conditioner) are Moroccan oil and spray gel. I also use a toothbrush and toothpaste, ofc.

Over the years I've gone from tons of products to just this. It's a lot easier, and now when I travel, packing toiletries is a breeze (um, not that I travel these days lol).

    image.jpg

Edit: As I look at this pic I realize my makeup brush is in desperate need of washing. @Starfall and any other beauty pro types would be horrified. Speaking of which...how do you recommend cleaning them, starfall? I usually use hand soap.

Shampoo is best for cleaning brushes you can even condition them to make them softer, but that's just extra work imo. Sometimes I add in a little baby oil to get out all the crud (this is especially helpful for the beauty blender).

I have that Cerave Foaming Cleanser as well...love that it's PH balanced. And I love me some witch hazel. Just got a new brand called "Rose Petal Witch Hazel" and it seriously makes my skin look even better than plain old witch hazel.

This has me intrigued... what does witch hazel do for your skin?

Umm basically everything tightens pores, calms redness, speeds healing, shrinks acne, gently and mildly exfoliates, gets rid of flakies, removes any traces of makeup, PH balances your skin..I use it after I cleanse (and dry) my face, morning and evening. You can get the super cheap knockoff brand at Walmart that works fine, the Dickinson's witch hazel that you see in Starfall's arsenal which is a little more expensive, and then there's the Thayers Rose Petal that I'm using, at $10 a pop from Whole Foods.

You totally should apply to a cosmetic store! I'm sure you'd love it. Have you ever thought about becoming an esthetician btw? I think you'd be amazing at it.

I really love that cleanser. So far, I can't find one that I like better and I've used a lot of stuff.

Thanks! It's been a small, silly dream of mine for a few years to have a vanity with storage, but this is the best I can do for now! I don't have any room in my apartment, so I have to wait until I buy a house or move some place bigger. Something like this would be amazing:

Okay, I cataloged my shame for y'all.

Sorry for the inconsistent lighting and all the dust and smudges, lmao. I tried to brighten some of them and sharpen them enough that they weren't so blurry. This doesn't even include the big Sephora bags I have stuffed full of shit somewhere.

My main stash, including my little collection of rollerballs. A few are missing. And all my brushes are dirty, lmao.

    Close up.

Random ass skin care, including a bunch of philosophy shampoo that got cropped out and a konjak sponge still in the package...

Close up of some of my favorite masks.

PALETTES. La Belle Carousel by Too Faced got cropped out by accident.

A good crease color and I thought the name was hilarious.

A clusterfuck of perfume. The sprays at the back are a set of designer knockoffs by Target lol. Scents "inspired by" Light Blue, Flowerbomb, Daisy, and J'adore.

Thanks!! I like it for under-eye circles. I also use NARS Chantilly for spot concealer and I use a brush to buff it into my skin after dabbing it on. I'm actually out of the erase paste--it's one of the only products I've ever completely "panned." Right now I use that pot to hold hair cream when I travel.

Holy balls, I love your setup. From what I can you have nothing to be ashamed of, lol. I liked your dream layout but..it seems a bit overwhelming and makes me feel like an extreme minimalist - but it is beautiful and amazing. @GuavaDrunk I hear you. I mean, I probably cheated cuz I cleaned up my table a bit, there's usually so much dust flying around here, fucking annoying, but I haven't shown my makeup stash, its much more minimal. I've gotten like @Kore was before and gotten a bit sick of makeup at the moment. I used to have several drawers of makeup but now I just have 1 main drawer and the rest of my shit is random skincare.

Thanks so much! I use makeup organizers I got on hautelook, but you can find the same brand (Richard's) at Bed Bath & Beyond. I love my setup, just wish I had more palettes, though I don't NEED any more.

I love all your palettes. So pretty ^.^ I have like 3 Wet n Wild palettes at this point, lol. I'm just tired of spending money on makeup bcuz I found a good Wet n Wild lipstick for like $2 a pop, and I'm happy with it...but, reading the Sephora descriptions or going to an Ulta really sets off my makeup addiction. I want NARs Orgasm...YSL Mascara..Jeffree Star Lipstick..expensive skincare, the list goes on..and its lovely, but gets a bit spendy

Wow @Emmym your set up is so pretty and organized *drool*

This thread makes me want to go out and buy organizers for my makeup.

I should pull out my nail polish collection that I've accumulated over the years while working at Ulta.

Emmym, your makeup collection is almost fetishistic, and I mean that in a good way. I think you could definitely do something with that particular passion if you want to.
