autumn is mine
Why not...
alpha, spring
beta, summer
gamma, autumn
delta, winter
delta - spring
alpha - summer
beta - autumn
gamma - winter
(i think i messed up selecting a radio button)
Alpha- Summer
Delta- Spring
The other two I was divided between, but I put gamma=autumn and beta=winter

“My typology is . . . not in any sense to stick labels on people at first sight. It is not a physiognomy and not an anthropological system, but a critical psychology dealing with the organization and delimitation of psychic processes that can be shown to be typical.” —C.G. Jung
I'm not sure that I can answer this

Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?
I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Autumn (bountiful harvest, holidays, sharing meals) - Alpha (fun, affection, stability)
Summer (festivals, music, sport) - Beta (free expression, openness, competition)
Winter (dependency on others for survival, evaluating previous year, goals for next year) - Gamma (practicality, loyalty, interdependence)
Spring (new beginnings, planting seeds for harvest) - Delta (meticulous work, potential/possibilities, work ethic)
This was fun! I'm curious about what meanings others give to these seasons!
Everyone has their own ideas on this ...
Mine is closely related to the Seasonal Colour Theory.
Following that:
Spring is Light + Warm = Alpha.
Summer is Light + Cool = Delta.
Autumn is Dark + Warm = Beta.
Winter is Dark + Cool = Gamma.
This was an intuitive association at first... When I thought of the seasonal colour types, certain Quadras came to mind, for me.
But you could break it down like this: Cool = Serious, Warm = Merry, Light = Ne+Si valuing, Dark = Ni+Se valuing.
Didn't you post those somewhere before? Autumn has always been my season but I like winter too. I like the colors of autumn plus it's isn't so hot. I like the purity of fresh snow and how lights make it sparkle. That is what I miss most about winter in the northeast. I loved blizzards.

I think of the seasons like the H-P supervision ring of types (tribal/nomadics in a temperate environment) :
Spring-IEE: The thawing of winter gives way to the realm of possibilities. As supplies run low from the winter reserves it becomes necessary to explore the world (Ne) and find food. This is a time of naive curiosity much like an IEE.
Summer-LII: As the environment begins to stabilize it begins to become beneficial to approach the world in a more logical manner. Resources are usually plentiful this time of year, therefore one can afford to more spend more time coming up ideas on how to improve life. Summer is generally a time of freedom and merriment which the LII very much seeks.
Autumn-SLE: With winter approaching it becomes top priority to gather the resources needed for survival by any means necessary. As plants begin to wither, hunting becomes the optimal method of obtaining food which very much suits the predatory SLE. The changing colors of trees also create a Ni Fe mystical environment to complement the SLE's super-id.
Winter-ESI: During winter the finite resources and harsh environment allows no room for inner quarrels and mismanagement. Unethical group members who steal or hoard resources can be detrimental to rest of the group and ESI actively prevents them from doing so. The coldness of winter fits the strict attitude of ESI.

Seems modern comfort conditions of urban industrial life give to winter too peaceful and soft impressions.
Spring- Alpha
Summer- Beta
Fall- Gamma
Winter- Delta.
I like winter because I can overdress and not feel awkward because I'm mostly covered.

Well...when the swedes and the danes have stuff like IKEA and it just promotes being indoors where the fire is so delightful and the company even more so. I agree that Winter is Stark and unrelenting, no doubt about that. It's somewhere between alpha and beta imo. Inside is like a total alpha atmosphere(especially given the holidays) and outside...complete beta.
For me it is:
Spring: Delta(filled with creativity, waking up and building for the rest of the year)
Summer: Beta(party like it's 999! Ofc, it's just as fitting that beta gets the, objectivelly, best and most alluring part of the year)
Autumn: Gamma(consolidating and preparing for the hardship)
Winter: Alpha(...but the fire is so delightful! So, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!)
Alpha: spring, spark of new life, everything is tender
Gamma: summer, growth as a cause and goal, everything grows strong
Delta: Autumn, everything gets ripe and is harvested, everything grows tender
Beta: winter, destruction of the very soil so life can start anew, only the strong will come up anew
Ah, I see people are giving their reasons.
Alpha as spring: origins, new ideas, bright, open, and gentle - a time of possibilities
Beta as summer: fun, intense, broiling, dreamlike time, but experience is emphemeral
Gamma as autumn: people get down to work, both physically and mentally, and there's some clarity
Delta as winter: it's a time to conserve your resources and be prudent, make it or break it
I think Delta is planning and preparing so maybe before harvest

I don't see a non-Ni-valuing quadra as being as naturally good at planning and preparing. It seems compensatory from my point of view, and so I'll hand it to the Gammas to really do the prep work.
I'd rather have Deltas around when things go wrong. They're pretty good at being steady about fixing stuff.
I don't know why but I only see Betas as autumn, maybe because It's my favorite season. Deltas as summer, because the air is heavy at this time of the year; there's something that's just not welcoming about it. Alphas would be spring for that "innocent" vibe I feel when I discuss with them. And Gammas would be winter; mainly because that's the only season left.
You'd want opposing quadras to be opposite seasons for this to make the most sense. Then the quadras share traits of the seasons they are wedged between. Just like the actual quadras sharing adjoining quadra IEs. MAGIC.
Alpha: Summer
Beta: Autumn
Gamma: Winter
Delta: Spring
Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta: Spring
Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta: Summer
Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta: Autumn
Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta: Winter
I'm Beta and Winter is my favorite season. Autumn is 2nd favorite. Summer is my least favorite, spring is #3.
I like the cold and the dark and there not being any straight people walking about.
