The Wave Theory of Type Dynamics is from MBTI. It states that people evolve each function one at a time, until all functions become conscious and differentiated from each other.
During the process, they can look like another type. It depends on which function they're currently focusing on.
ENFJ was given as an example:
Age
1-12mo 1-3yrs 3-6yrs 6-12yrs 12-20yrs 20-35yrs 35-50yrs 50-70yrs 70-80yrs Focus
ei dom aux-1 aux-2 tertiary transition inferior differentiation individuation Resembles extrovert ENFJ INFJ ENFP ESFJ
ESFPENTJ
ENTPISTJ
ISTP??
translating this into socionics:
Age
1-12mo 1-3yrs 3-6yrs 6-12yrs 12-20yrs 20-35yrs 35-50yrs 50-70yrs 70-80yrs Focus
ei base (Fe) creative (Ni) creative inverse (Ne) mobilizing (Se) transition
(Te)suggestive
(Ti)differentiation individuation Resembles extrovert ENFj INFp ENFp ESFj
ESFpENTj
ENTpISTp
ISTj??
So an ENFj in socionics could look like a ENTj - ENTp mix, during their 20's. They'd be focused on extroverted thinking more than extroverted feeling (which would be already well understood by that point)
Just something to think about.
Here's another example, using ISTp:
Age
1-12mo 1-3yrs 3-6yrs 6-12yrs 12-20yrs 20-35yrs 35-50yrs 50-70yrs 70-80yrs Focus
ei base (Si) creative (Te) creative inverse (Ti) mobilizing (Fi) transition
(Ni)suggestive
(Ne)differentiation individuation Resembles introvert ISTp ESTj ISTj ISFp
ISFjINFp
INFpENFj
ENFp??
So an ISTp would have a similar Se ability to ISTjs by age 12, but wouldn't develop extroverted intuition until well into adulthood
Also, you can see how ENFjs by age 20 are focusing on Te, while ISTps have already covered Te as children. The Te of an ENFj would therefore be primitive compared to the Te of an average ISTp, at the same age.
Likewise ENFjs would have a serious advantage over ISTps in intuition, by adulthood they'd have the ability to foresee problems in a way ISTps could only dream about.
