    Default What energizes each type?

Every type can fall prey to laziness, boredom, listlessness, lack of motivation. The question is, is there an "energy key" specific to each type?

Naturally, coffee is a generic solution.

Other than coffee or ginseng, how does one "wake up" each type?

Anticipation of something you lack in life that you put on the pedistal. Some people preffer concain, some put cold water on their face, some like you said drink coffee.... cigarette are pretty good for this too. A stun gun works too... and if u want wanna get smacked or kicked, i suggest using the stun master taser, it can fire electrode up to 15 or 17 feet!

as per classical socionics theory, receipt of the 6th function will energize.

creative functions may be a more adaptive and consistent answer.

With an alarm clock. at least, that's what works for me...maybe it's that first morning tinkle that actually wakes me up though...lol

niffweed17, I have been long curious what your avatar was, I always thought it was a USB port, and then i noticed it was made of stone, ... so then i started to think it was an ancient USB port, but then i was like... wait they used serial cables back in egypt.... what is that thing?

The only thing it takes to energize me is to get up and moving. Once I'm doing something, the extra energy comes with it. Sitting around and doing nothing does the exact opposite.

its an image i googled. i selected it for the very reason that it was not discernible exactly what it was. i wanted a sort of image that didn't mean anything and didn't look like anything, but merely existed.

my best guess is that its a random chunk of rock.

I wonder if that says something about your type.

    Things that wake me up...

Exercise, sugar, some energy drinks, drawing, sculpting, painting, showers, Adderall (though not good for social energy) and lots of sleep!!

Exercise, music, and physical touch from another human being... or maybe a dog.
"How could we forget those ancient myths that stand at the beginning of all races, the myths about dragons that at the last moment are transformed into princesses? Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love."

Things that people find to be sexual energize them. I've seen enough porn to see peoples eyes glow after they perform all kinds of interesting things with people they would never in real life do those things with... Female police offices always giving me tickets.... what if i.... gave theeem a ticket.... oooh baby, my 2nd chakra is tingling.

    Hmm....

Being around ESFjs and INFjs energizes me. And no, I'm not saying that because I'm attracted to those personality types. I just feel more responsible or something, or like there is more to do.

A good sense of motivation, or seeing a situation where my help/talents are needed. Going outside has been very energizing lately.

Good sleep and getting up early, exercise, good food, being with friends, doing something fun, doing something physical…

Exciting intellectual stimulation (thinking about a math problem that's right on the verge of becoming clear to me, that sort of thing), being around the people that I feel close to, or want to be close to (best friends, general friends, mostly just a bunch of nerdy, geeky, brainiac kids who are insanely humorous and sarcastic. They all rock).

Group activities. Concrete goals. Fun ideas. Staring into the night skies on pitch-black nights. A dire and closely related crisis. Creating new things with ideas (talking is cool and all but I want both. I feel lazy without the goal, too).
