Chinese five elements

According to Chinese theory, there are five elements. These are wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. There are also personalities depending on you composition relating to these elements. I found this webiste: http://www.chinesefortunecalendar.co...ersonality.htm It details the personalities, and I was wondering whether you had any views on a correlation between Socionics types and these five personalities.

I don't know a whole lot about the Chinese elements but I did do the questionnaire and scored:

27% water
8% wood
20% earth
25% metal
20% fire

I'm an INTj

Based on the descriptions of the elements, I'd have to agree that water and metal fit me the best.

I had to do the percentages myself, it wasn't scoring it. The types seemed not to be definitive enough.

I agree with rmcnew in that the descriptions of these elements are rather vague, therefore its hard to pinpoint which element correlates with what socionic types but I'll take a stab at it anyway:

Wood:
Metal: IxxJ ?
Fire: , maybe also
Earth: not sure, someone help me here

Perhaps it is that the five personalities are vague, even more "intuitive", than perhaps the more logical and scientific Socionincs, making correlations very difficult. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I don't know if there is any correlation between the Chinese five elements and socionics but if there is here's what I think it would be:

Water seems to be more N wheras Metal seems to be more either a) T or b) Rational behaviour. Wood seems perhaps xxTp. But I think that correlation between the two is very difficult due to the vagueness of the five elements.
