Cool How Cool Are These Information Element Videos!

I embedded the vids at first, but playback's disabled on other sites. So here's some simple ol' links
FYI The channel is Russian, but vids have no language in them

    Ni

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzI7tOUReug

    Ne
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQlrev_JS-U

    Se
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_Gxo-F5TXQ

    Si
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlqJwxUF57k

    Te
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64iokSzPGQs

    Ti
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzGP1QaBlqM

    Fi
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kx1KOApvwQ4

    Fe
I couldn't find one for Fe on their channel. This is black ethics (Fe) in the world of white ethics (Fi). It's the best I could find, unfortunately.

I am ....intrigued and I also don't understand what I'm seeing in front of me. Are these videos created specifically to showcase the functions or are they already existing ones selected? Ni's task is to create an image of themselves before the time is up(type-wise, not video-wise)?

Ne one totally nails it!!!!! (And made me cry )

i loved where he changed his mind to redo the flower and him almost runner out of time and rushing it perfectly

also laughed at his expression in one of the first frames where he's looking at the created block with the expression of "what kind of fun stuff will you be little block" (kinda annoyed at its non actuality

looking forward to to what the other videos are like!

Ni one is positively creepy (I saw that ending coming )

Si one: lol, Si is beautiful landscapes, exotic animals and beautiful women hahahahaha sounds about right

Se one; I can totally see other types view Se like a meteor (ieis/eies/lies and ilis staring at it like rabbits in the headlights, other types running to the hills shitting their pants). However, is this a good representation of their awareness? Not to sure

On second notice, it WAS an comercial <- edit

    Te yup fits

Ti: lol!! I don't know what to say!!

i think these videos each deserve a thread seperately!

lol it's only logical, no? tho ti i wouldn't neccessarily depict that way - i'd focus on extraction of various logical patterns not just quick way of multiplication but lol i get the gist of it and like it as it is

Ugh, the Ni one was kind of disgusting, I won't lie. Lol.

Rofl, the Te video seems like every stereotypical video of SLIs I have ever seen. Hehe.

Initially I found the Ni one disturbing, but then I realized that it had the cyclical nature thing going on, and probably some symbolism I don't tend to catch easily. After realizing that it became less disturbing to me, but definitely not something i would want to contemplate or spend much more time on.

The Ti one was interesting, a bit mindblowing, lol. I even watched another youtube video that showed another multiplication solving pattern one can use. I think it's pretty cool how some people can figure those things out.

Te was cool to watch. I've sometimes wondered how planes were built.

Se one I didn't get, other than to feel like poor earth after the effects of parenting an SEE.

Ne was the first one I watched. Tears came to my eyes.

Si the second, soothing, but I think they could have done better for it. Maybe because I'm just not interested in seeing a bunch of women in artsy styles. The landscapes and animals and music were calming, though.

Fe was sad, depressing, annoying, and made me angry all at the same time, lol. I think between this and the ni video I might understand IEI's a bit better. I wanted the guy to throw his mask at his coworkers and say F. U.

I can't watch the Fi one, not playable on my ipad?

i skipped thru some of the Fi one cuz it was kinda boring but i don't think thats incompatible with having it as a base fx. The Se one was fun to watch.

A few cool ideas (such as Ni, Ne, or Se), but hey, quite creepy, they focused on the cutest manifestations of functions.

The only one I ain't got enough rights to watch in my country is the Fi. Ppl, any other link?

I didn't feel the temperature drop after 20-30 seconds.

Nor did I feel a noticeable increase in warm.

Therefore I think these videos are at ambient temperature.

    Lol Jim.

The Te video was horrendous, never saw something THAT boring. I can't believe there is just that to Te.

Si vids was a troll, it can't be Girls with make up and jaguars and tigers and stuff, are you serious ? (thought it was soothing)

Se related correctly imo. Ti was spot on.

I can't talk about Ni since I don't understand it (the function). Ne was about a dude who build stuff and his girl come out and she all happy (are you fucking serious?) <= Same, I don't understand the function I can't comment on it.

Not so sure about Fe and Fi to be honest. I can see why in the Fe video but I'm not sure they captured all the complexity of the function into the video. I have no real idea with Fi, but the same goes: not sure they have captured all the complexity of the function. Since I believe they are both two very "volatile" functions....
Or maybe I'm wrong and I don't get shit about Fx \o/

(thanks for the video Elina :3)

Si was a mockery, they just took bits and pieces from cliche videos (NLP etc.)
...and imo that "living in the marrow of nature" is not very Si, but also has to do with Se

Te looks like Communist propaganda lol (working in the factory is your future)

hahaha awesome, I could've given so many other explanations for that video (and it's relation with Ne) but you made my day by completely and utterly not understanding it AND actually understanding that you don't understand it
    You're a great mind

Concerning the Se.... I really didn't get it. Yes, it's a couple of meteors, maybe it was the lack of sound, but all I saw where...just meteors... wieeerd...

Si was soothing, but than it was basically holidayporn.

Didn't really get to watch the Fi/Fe ones yet.
I still think all of them should get a seperate thread and people respond to why that video does, or doesn't relate to their ego function (only if they have it, other wise they'd have to STFU )

They focused on the sense of sight mostly, which is understandable.
Some more 5 senses stuff was thrown in though with the droplets of water, and the girl diving into water, and the snake in the sand and on the girl (I think you're supposed to imagine how that would feel against your skin)
Also with the Ne video - the Ne is in the way the guy builds the city. He does so very creatively and he does this out of nothing. He sees "what could be" before it's there.

Just throwing my 2 cents in there, cause some other people didn't get the Si video too
Cheers Elina. I agree with the Si video (they can't really do something exceptional either). But I think (and I was thinking about the Ne video aswell) that since they have to put "scenario" to the videos they will necessarily put a "flavor" to each functions depending on the scenario. So basically all these videos are biaised but still come off near the truth?

    Also, 2nd question please :3:

Can a dude who is more knowledgeable than me in socionics functions (i.e that has read more than me but I won't coz I'm a lazy ass) explain to me the Te video. From what I have asked before, it seems to me like Te+Si which is like more obvious you die. So I would like to know if this is true (Te+Si) or if this video correlate the "essence" of Te (which I doubt honestly).

My point is (even as helpful as it might be - and it is, i'm not throwing anything here) aren't these videos too global to be called accurate or even realising what the function might be? => A short notice before getting fired at: I understand that it is supposed to help us understand the function better and that it is supposed to help us have an "image", a "reality" to which we can go back to or to which we can relate as being true/or fulfilling.

Now the thing is that the explanation of those functions, even by videos and/or scenario, should be dry as fuck and only hold informations to be accurate. Ok, yes, I can go to the website and read "ability to correlate with moving object in the fucking sector A of fucking Moon my ass dubble D", the thing is that I don't understand that. So yes, then those videos will be helpful to me (they have been, i'm writing this thing) but are they accurate?

Te comes in 2 ways I heard, with Si and with Ni. How can one video represent that?

Basically I'm a bit lost and I'd like to know if these videos are accurate or not, if they hold one vision or the globality of the function, how we can interpret them, how should we interpret them, in short how to use this information.
Cheers for the reading and even more cheer if you answer that (<3). Thick fat and boring, sorry .

I can try to do what you ask for Ne+Ti and Ne+Fi:

In that video the guy does two things (could be framed as doing two things)

1 He's using technology that's probably new, high end, probably not specifically designed for this job. This is Ne base, Ti creative (it's a stretch i know). There's also a "logic" to his imaginary world which he understands and can manipulate with his tools (still a long stretch).

2 He uses "world creation technology" (think telling stories, but than advanced) to reconnect to his comateuse loved one. He does not just build a world (that would be more ILE (Ne+Ti)) for the heck of it, no, he creates a world FOR HER. It's not just a world for her, it's a world that's perfect for her.

Now in the two things above Ti and Fi are kinda hard to see, they're less obvious. What's obvious is the "creating stuff from thin air" (Ne). The holistic grand scheme of things design that he's doing with seemingly no effort (Ne). The grand sweeping changes like "rolling out the textures of the world" Ne. Than, BAM, there's a moment of detail, he builds something shabby, walks away, notices it and intuits that this detail, is very very important. He returns, spends exorbitantly much time on one little flower and RUNS OUT OF TIME (ne ).
The detail, the flower is in fact, the key moment for the woman, it's the centerpiece of all that he build, and even though he forgot to "texture" a whole building (NE, whoopsie moments) the one detail that he DID pay attention to saves the day!

The movie is kinda like "the notebook" but than high tech.

Also, i DO love the fact that this video implies that Ne base people are actually solopsystic gods (the ni's can create live's for us )

My take on the Te video...

Think of Te as explicit actions of objects. Ni & Si are how those actions fit together. You can't have Te without Ni/Si.
Te is commonly referred to as algorithmic-logic.

A plane is a complex object with multiple systems that if those systems don't fit together correctly, results in mega-problems for the people in it. The video shows it being put together, but before even that is the design process done by engineers. These people are more likely NTs and STs working together. After the design process and the proper materials ordered comes the putting together process. But if it's not put together in an efficient way, such a project could take a huge amount of time and money and still fail. So some people had to figure out the sequence of actions for putting it together. Like not putting the outer sides on until you've got the insides in. After the sequence of actions is figured out in an effective way, the assembly line is set up for that sequence, and then production begins. Then there was the testing phase, making sure that all the systems did indeed work together as designed. And the final product's take-off and flight.

    @MegaBallsUSA

I would like to know which school of Socionics thought was behind those videos...

Anyway, here's what Reinin has to say on :
Objective logic. Logic of the objective world - objective circumstances, facts. Example: the day began and it started raining. Systems, statistics. Event queue. Example: “I am late for work because the bridge collapsed". Laws, political policies of the government, stamps in the passport, traffic laws, prices, private summerhouse property, my territory, and design drawing of a unit. Thinking objectively people usually ask: “I want to know the reality of the matter.”
His book is on the site, just google "the16types reinin book".

Thanks, I didn't consider the side of all the engineering of the methods and such. The video wasn't really obvious on this side of the matter. Cheers for the input andelise.

Now it appears a lot more appealing (but the video wasn't appealing at all )

The Te to me seems like a sort of logistics thing. Making the planes, the processes of doing things right, using the proper measurements, right materials, making sure everyone does their job and correctly, efficiency in using the right amount of people and so on.

It's probably process Te more than result, which is admittedly more oriented towards the bottom line or getting out of a hairy situation in the most effective way possible.

I can do Ni later, about to head to class.

    Watching these without sound

Si: Nature porn. The animal shots are cool, the rest feels contrived.
Ni: HOURGLASS BECAUSE TIME GET IT. Oh actually this is really charming. The world needs more traditional animation media.
Ne: Smug white man learns how to use Maya for the first time. Got bored halfway through.
Se: herp derp big things go kaboom
Te: driest of all the dry things
    Ti: I love numberphile too!
Fe???: Depression is a serious condition and is not to be taken lightly
Fi: Emotion porn? I can't follow what's happening, looks like a Lifetime Original Something with trains.

Ni was the clear favorite on my end. Had way more heart to it than either of the Fx IEs.

umm... @Elina, does the title of the vid actually say that it is Fe in the world of Fi? I've seen this video before and my reaction was the exact opposite, that it's Fi in the world of Fe (sort of an Englishman in the American "let's smile now" culture - pardon the stereotyping, but it's the first thing that came to mind...).
Aren't the Fi types supposed to be annoying to Fe types exactly because they have trouble adhering to the general happy go lucky vibe if their internal state is different?

I guess it might be all a matter of perspective and Fi in the eyes of Fe types might sometimes look not genuine and vice versa (I've seen it play out this way irl sometimes...)
