    Default My type

    I self-type SLE-Se E8w7 sx/sp.

People who have questioned my self-typing, have said that I'm too...:

... nerdy for Se-sub SLE, and suggested Ti-sub for me
... warm and nice for an SLE and suggested EIE/IEI for me
... complex in my thought processes for a sensor, and suggested ILE for me
... relaxed and open for an E8 and suggested E3 for me
... lacking in intensity for an sx/sp and suggested other stackings for me...

    Thoughts?

how do you feel about SLE yourself? If it fits comfortably enough i'd suggest keeping it. There will always be people who'll point out where you're defying from the stereotypical image of one type.
I can see SLE and I don't think Nerdy = Ti, nor does complexity preclude being a sensor. Enneagram is bull anyway so...

Oh, I'm confident in my self-typing, I just want attention and a discussion, so that I can nerd all over again.

You are just awesomely well balanced in your functions, duh.
You seek a great fortune, you three who are now in chains. You will find a fortune, though it will not be the one you seek.
But first you must travel a long and difficult road, a road fraught with peril.
You shall see things, wonderful to tell. You shall see a... cow... on the roof of a cotton house. And, oh, so many startlements.
I cannot tell you how long this road shall be, but fear not the ob-stacles in your path, for fate has vouchsafed your reward.
Though the road may wind, yea, your hearts grow weary, still shall ye follow them, even unto your salvation

THAT's the kind of attention I'm talking of.

On a serious note, I don't think nerdiness, warmth or complexity has to do with what functions we use to experience reality.
Personality isn't type related. Yeah, I said that.

Back when you were less willing to declare SLE 8, this is the typing I had in mind for you (as I think you know). So yeah. No debate.

I think intelligence, experience, and sophistication (among many other things) make it harder to put a type on someone. Especially if the type is just a stereotype.

And we trade in stereotypes aplenty around here.

I've also wondered why you type as Se sub and not Ti.
    So how come?

I think now isn't the best time to get into nuances of type with you. But I'm happy to see you as SLE.

What about DCNH subtype? What is mine?

I guess I'm D or C. I'm E8 and Se-SLE, so I definitely have eyes on the goal and never give up, but I'm also rather offbeat and atypical, not that that is unheard of for an sx/sp and EP. So does that add up to D or C? Or could I be one of the N or H subtypes, just that I automatically think of D and C since they are extraverted ... like an SLE... ?

    You are a lovely type

    D and C = SLE-Se
    N or H = SLE-Ti
    I think C for you.

I'm very happy to see you as SLE as well, you are a very likable, warm and knowledgeable lady. As for subtypes, I would also go with C for you.

An you're one of my favorite SLE
    -
    Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

    I agree.

When my Mom saw a picture of lungs on facebook, my Mom said, “She’s kind of nerd. She looks like a nerd to me.” I think pretty much everyone on the forum is some sort of nerd regardless of type. Both logical and ethical types can be nerds.

You seem SLE to me. You were very helpful in understanding my SLE son, too. So, unless something clear otherwise comes up, you still seem SLE.

Lol these inconsequential/superficial and/or context/situation dependent traits/opinions... why don't people go for core of theory instead?

Btw I do see you as all those things listed lol but type is another thing.

(I mean I see you are nerdy, nice, complex thinking, relaxed, not very intense vibe. Otoh open? I wouldn't say that lol)

It sure isn't understood very well and I fail to see why lol

But hey everyone has their own "hard to understand" functions.

No I don't look like a nerd. If you just randomly ran into me in the street, you wouldn't know that I can have really nerdy Ti.

I wanted to post my opinion here. I'm pretty sure by now that @Ananke is Se-base, so I guess SLE works, don't see proof for SEE so far

    @Ananke

I want to post that I excluded SEE, SLE remains for now SLE-Se subtype if so, definitely not SLE-Ti

    Enneagram:

If you are 8 core then you have an extremely strong 7 wing, idk about that one atm
