Funny because I think of myself as being more relentlessly morbid and not at all morbidly relentless. But actually, the image is really of someone performing a type of Japanese dance called butoh, which is supposed to be very awkward and deformed-looking and ultimately aiming to mirror real life in post WW2 Japan in a way that dance more informed by Western traditions didn't/couldn't/wouldn't want to capture. Really cool and disturbing. You should check it out.
