Default Which colour do you write in?

I seem to write in blue ink recreationally more often than black, even though I prefer black. I think this is because my father always wrote in black and my mother in blue...although I did write exclusively in black in my earliest years. I suspect that blue I associate more with making notes, which is what I do most often, whereas black I associate more with permanence. Red I associate with error! Purple with creativity, also green, but I have rarely written in those colours. The head of MI6 always writes in green...

The opposite of permanence is pencil and that is what I write in if I am in an imaginative bent. Contrary to what I previously said, I do sometimes write in black on such occasions, as befits the mood and the "aesthetic fluency"...the type of implement can also play a factor, but it is a while since I wrote with a fountain pen. Pens that are satisfyingly fluid are marvellous in such situations.

I write with the closest object that will make an impression on the paper. Pen, pencil, crayon, lipstick, even nail polish...If a pen is out of ink but I don't want to interrupt my thought flow I just press hard enough to leave indentation on the paper then try to sort it out later. At times I have pressed so hard that I tore through the paper. It happened when I woke up and tried to write down my dreams before I forgot them. The room was very dimly lit. So no real color preference.

I write in black most often but prefer writing in blue when I have the chance, which isn't often, because I barely have any blue pens.

I prefer black, though I will highlight things in blue when distinguishing important items in a block of text. Blue is not just a preference as my favorite true color, but I also primarily scribble on legal pads so it seems silly to use a traditional yellow highlighter against yellow paper.

    Also, pen > pencil.

Italicised red is for when you need to make clear that someone is obviously WRONG ^^

Black. I always try to make sure I have at least two black ink pens in my purse, but like CPig I will use blue ink and/or highlighters to mark important information. And yes, pen > pencil.

    Indellible invisible ink

    (or technicolour)

Now this is a story all about how, my type got changed, turned upside down. Just wait for a minute and watch chatbox right there, & I'll tell how Gem became the moderator with blue hair.

In typology central friended and praised, on the picture thread was where she spent most her days. Chilling out, selfies, relaxing all cool, And all typing some people and getting them schooled.

When a couple of girls who were up to no good, Started annoying her & her friends in the forumhood, She got in one little flame war & got pissed off & said 'I'm moving in with that exboyfriend in the forum with the socionics toffs.

So Gem pulls up to the forum for a year without being a hater, And yells to typocentral 'Yo creeps! Smell Ya later', Became a mod in her kingdom she was finally there, To sit on her throne as the mod with blue hair.

I really like writing in pencil... it feels a lot better to me. If I have to write in pen l prefer it in dark blue.

Any focused or creative writing is always this colour and edited in black/red. I was experimenting and it just stuck. For a quick scrawl you can't beat a black sharpie though. Unff.
