Default Introverted Socionics theory and Integral Type

    No, never had the opportunity.

There's a theory called Introverted Socionics, in which an Intergral Type is assigned to each relation so that your type + a couple's relational Intergral Type could be measured. For example:

    ESE + (LII + LII) = ESE + (Identity/ILE) = ESE + ILE = Activity atmosphere.

It seems highly suspect, but interesting nonetheless.

An ILI at rest tends to remain at rest
and an ILI in motion is probably not an ILI

Oh, that's interesting. I've heard of assigning integral types to relations, but not the idea of combining them in a formula like that. I'll have to ponder this a while, to see if there's any validity to it.

[Edit: You wouldn't happen to have a link to somewhere with more information about this idea, would you?]

What is this "Integral type" in simple terms?

Awesome, thanks. I shall read and ponder.

Integral type for Introverted Socionics is an innate representative type for each relation. SEI is attributed to Duality, for example, because it's a relation of leisure and ease of communication.

Okay, I've read and pondered. Lytov sums up the things I was thinking pretty well. I was wondering if I had misunderstood something that the original source articles would clear up, because they seem like pretty obvious objections, but I guess not. The fact that ILE is used as Identity, and the founder of Socionics is an ILE, seemed like a pretty big co-incidence, for one. But the biggest problem was that the equations don't make sense. If one ESE and two LIIs create an Activity atmosphere, shouldn't one LSE and two EIIs also create an Activity atmosphere? But no, it creates a Benefit atmosphere, where each member Benefits the remaining dyad. It really doesn't make much sense to me.

But the subject of how group dynamics affects intertype relations is still interesting to me. I feel a major difference between interacting with my SLE Supervisor alone, and interacting with an SLE with an ESE present. Even a large group of LIIs interacting with an SLE is different from one LII interacting with an SLE. Perhaps the solution is to average the group's IE values and strengths together in some way, to come up with the "integral type" of the group?

Anyway, interesting subject matter to ponder.
