    Default I Like Shoes

Do you like shoes? My step-dad (ILI) would pull out his wallet every time a female in the family was upset or moody and say, "Go buy some shoes. You'll feel better." I know why he did it. He didn't want to deal with the moodiness. It disturbed him. No one else seemed to get that it was his way of getting us out of the house so he could get some peace. and "feel better".

I bought two pair today and I have to say I feel better. Sometimes the simple things in life can put you in the best mood. I am ready for spring.

Oh god now I got this quote in my head..."the higher the heel, the closer to god". I think I heard it on the real housewives or something, I am not that type of shoe person.

Aww, not available in my country. I have to look up the method to view it again.

[I bought sundresses and jeans too but I want to keep this thread focused on shoes]

    thanks.

Well my idea of fashion is probably different than others here, flouncy tops/sundresses, skinny jeans, tank tops, form fitting dresses/tops as well but i like talking about it anyway. I am planning to do another thread for spring clothes soon so you have to wait. I won't wear patterns, like flowers, on my clothing if I am wearing a bold shoe because I think it is best to choose one bold item at a time. I like to be comfortable and not worry about wardrobe malfunctions.

Here is something for the daring. The shoes in the video are huge. I wear a size 5/5.5 so they don't look like they were made for drag. I am a bit more conservative than these and I am also partial to wedges right now but I might wear the comic book shoes in the right situation.

The girls in their videos tend to look like porn stars/strippers, no judgment, just observation.

My sister loves shoes. I wear one pair until it falls apart. I used to never buy shoes until my sister kept nagging at me that I didn't look presentable.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Hello shoe lover. Well platforms are very easy to walk in because it is an added balance.

I just bought these boots on sale a couple of months ago so I will wear something with a lower heel too. I have strangers, both men and women, come up to me and say they love them and ask where I bought them every time I wear them. I am only 5'0 so I tend to wear something with a 4 to 6 inch heel but these boots are hot. I have worn them with jeans or a skirt.

Edit: They look so much better in person than in the pic.

I like Vans for the guys...if you're going casual. There are other brands I like too but I am thinking of them right now.

I wonder if I could find something a bit less casual and more uniform/classic for the spring and fall.

Here's a tip for the men:

If you are brave enough to wear sandals please lose the socks it doesn't look good. Get a pedicure if you must but you gotta be all in or all out. Please!

Also white ankle socks with sneakers not crew socks if they are going to be showing. I know it is European to wear black socks or at least it was but white looks better in the US. At the very least wear white with white sneakers and black with black sneakers.

    Thanks for the links, Aylen.

I kinda like these. Seem like a great deal, esp. for that price. Reef is a quality brand.

These Rockports look pretty good, too.

But of course, I have to try a shoe on before I decide how much I really like it. Comfort is top priority.

Heh, with the guys I just thank them usually but with women I pull out my notepad and write down the info they need to get a pair for themselves since the women have actually been more curious and want more info.. I did have a couple guys want the name of the website to buy them for their girls.

In the summer, when I am wearing sandals, I have men compliment my feet and pedicure (like when I'm pumping gas, places I wouldn't expect to get that attention) quite often, as in above what one would consider a normal count. which is way more uncomfortable. I get tongue-tied and flustered but I try to take compliments graciously if I feel they are genuine.

Definitely the Rockports or something similar. The other looked like a glorified house slipper. No offense...

I wear below the ankle socks with sneakers, as do many women in my area, it does look better since you can't really see them.

The other colors might look less flimsy. But I agree, the Rockports seem more solid. I'm really liking their designs, actually.

I always feel awkward when my feet get complimented... this is part of intimacy for me.
But it's indeed important to keep feet in good condition.

Eww! If I were to choose my most attractive feature I would say my feet because of the comments I received over the years. I prefer it to "hey, nice tits!" I remember walking through the airport once and passing this really well dressed guy, expensive suit the works. Not my type but I thought he looked nice. He was on the phone and just as I passed he said, "You should see the tits on this bitch!"

I was thoroughly disgusted and if looks could kill he would have been a dis-membered corpse.I wasn't dressed slutty either. It was rude and embarrassing. I saw the way other people looked at him too and they felt the same .He could have kept his voice down. In a way it was a wake up call for me since I saw people who looked like him as being polite gentlemen, until that moment. So all this to say, I don't mind some guy who admires my feet or whatever part as long as it is respectful and discreet. hahah

    I do love cute anklets.

I wear size 5 but have to settle for 5.5. Size 6 is too big and it sucks that some of the best shoes don't come in my size. I wear flip flops around my house a lot and I buy them in the children's section if the adult sizes are too big.

There's always those kinds of people, which I think is more rational to just look down on, rather than be really bothered by. And FWIW, I don't remember complimenting or shouting perverse (or even remotely sexual) stuff to/about anyone in public. I mainly just observe and remain quiet until I see a specific reason or need to react.

I wear lots of different anklets and toe rings...big collection and lots of earrings and belly button barbells in every style. I wear them around the house and in public. I never wear rings on my fingers because it feels restrictive but I feel naked without my toe rings.

What would have been even worse and more offensive is to hear "You should see the tits on this midget!".

Disclaimer: I have no idea how tall you actually are and I'm not trying to be offensive.
