Hi
It's just weird coming back here now. I just wanted to kind of stop in, look around.
I get notifications about some of my old posts, someone liked or 'marked as whatever', and.... some of them are ok, but so much of what I wrote in the early years is just bogus stuff.
I wish people had been studying socionics longer when I was new to this place and learning things. Now it's 10 years later, and a lot of life experience later. Socionics is great, but it has a very limited jurisdiction about what it speaks of, and most other things are beyond socionics. I think its important to realllly emphasize that, for anyone who wants to understand people.
I think the end goal should never be lost - if you want to find your type, or justify why a relationship didn't work out, alright, great. You'll have all the ammunition you need to do that. But if you want to understand people better, build stronger relationships, or have more substantial interactions with others, then it's best to see socionics in a sort of spectrum, or as one lens, in a larger process of knowing others as well as yourself, and the relation thereof.
I don't have a lot to say about the forum. But I feel like that's what I'd say in a general sense, coming back, looking back and remembering things.
