    SLI

    Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Never late...no Ni polr issues there lol
affectionate...LSE are not touch feely people...they are cold in that department

You're describing a person who is more of a people person, delta values, serious about their values, not at all carefree.

From what you've written likely ST. Would you put him into Delta or Beta? I'm leaning towards Beta and SLE

No, I'd say something like LII or EII would be the worst possible typing for this individual since we all seem to agree that he is some kind of ST. I personally cannot tell if he is Beta or Delta. I need to read more conversations of his.

They only have dark energy when they are a pissant. I'd say Negativists are more intimidating and can appear more "judgemental" than positivists. Is that what you meant?

Otherwise, I can see SLE or SLI. The only reason I think Fi over Fe is a possibility because of the last quote where he states what his pet is thinking.

In my experience, understanding the thoughts and motives of animals is a superior talent specific to Fi.

I think narc was right earlier. Positivist/negativist is the simplest way to distinguish SEE/SLE. He's a positivist. SEE > SLE

They only have dark energy when they are a pissant.
hmmm...i would have guessed as an ENFj you would view negativism favorably. Perhaps you're LIE, afterall.

That seems rather insulting to all the Irrationals who have proven themselves perfectly capable of holding a steady job/career.

Perhaps we are defining things differently. Let me try again.

If I was a rational type I wouldn't be able to hold a steady (routine, predictable, unchanging, static) job.

I think we might be jumping to conclusions regarding positivism/negativism. Just because he frequently "acts positive" does not mean he is a positivist. Here is some enlightening info on the matter:
*It is important to note that there is no direct relation between Positivist/Negativist Reinin dichotomy and optimism/pessimism. The name of this dichotomy should not be interpreted literally. Positivists do not have an inherently positive outlook on life, and Negativists - a negative one.**
The Positivist / Negativist dichotomy describes certain kinds aspects of cognitive perception and mental operations rather than person's outlook, attitudes, and prevalent emotional state. Optimism-pessimism is aquality that arises from personal experiences; socionics factors do not influence and condition this phenomenon in itself.
Positivist types are more inclined to voice affirmative statements designed to point out contradictions, or depict the topics in an ironic or absurdist light in order to demonstrate their disbelief or critique something that they've found to be untrue; while criticisms delivered by Negativist types contains a higher proportion of negating, eliminating, or invalidating statements and propositions.

Are there that many ways to interpret "If I were x I'd be able to hold a job for more than a month"? Holding a steady job does imply that the one holding it is capable of being employed for more than a month at a time, which you are saying you are not and which you seem to be associating with your being Irrational.

    Let me try again.

I actually agree with @MensSuperMateriam , in his earlier comments.
The only picture where your husband is showing any Se is the one where he is wearing a banana peel. Well, maybe the selfie, too. The rest look Delta to me.

I would say SLI from his pictures, but I just read your description of him in your original post, and that sounds LSE-Te to me, too. So, could he be Delta ST?

From the descriptions and quotes he sounds most SEE, but on pics he looks vaguely SLI. So...not sure. LSE no way.

Se-LSI? He looks similar to our neighbor's kid in those photographs, who behaves very much like the descriptions of Se-LSIs.

It's interesting that both you and @AdamStrange say he seems SLI. What about him looks SLI? Is it something that you can put into words? I know sometimes these things are just vague impressions.

Also, his newest hobby is learning about financial investing/real estate, etc. Just thought of it because that's what takes up a large amount of his time nowadays.
It's not that he looks very SLI, just that it seems like the best option. To me, he doesnt look Se leading. He looks xSxP, not Se leading (doesn't give off the high energy from the pics, or Se focus or something, looks too chill). By your descriptions he sounds ESxP though and description/your experience >> VI. VI is not particularly reliable and this is just my subjective experience - that SLE guys I know have different energy in pics. You know him, so if you type him SLE, I believe you -if you'd type him something crazy like EIE, than I wouldn't

    ESE.

Extravert and Si ego jump out to me. Seems vaguely alpha.

ESE would be a better fit based off photos and description than LSE.
