    Default Woody Allen...ISTj?

So over on this Keirsey site http://www.celebritytypes.com/istp.php, Woody Allen is typed as ISTj. I don't understand the rationale behind this at all. Can somebody 'plain to me where they are coming from?

I really have no idea what type Allen is. His incessant homages to the imagery of Fellini and Bergman seem Si, his "woe is me" (think Crimes and Misdemeanors) victim attitude seems Ni, stuff like this seems Ne

    ... and now I'm told he's Se + Ti.

Anybody got a sensible typing for him?

There is a thread on him somewhere. People in here mainly type him as a IxTp as far as I can remember.

As I understand they use MB system when typing people on that site. Here is a useful link for you: http://www.socionics.com/articles/howto.htm
Some of those people on that site could very well be ISTj while others I type as ISTp or neither in socionics. There is no single rule that makes converting from Myers Briggs to socionics simple.

I got him at Te-ILI 6w5. Here's quotes by Woody Allen to compare and contrast with quotes by Ambrose Bierce, who I got as Te-SLI 1w2. Negativist for the former and Positivist for the latter. Shit, this is a goldmine for compare/contrast; the stuff's outwardly similar somewhat, and digging deeper shows so many crucial differences and I'm far from done with this even if this is the last thing I post here.

I've mainly seen him typed as ILI. There was an Alpha vs. Gamma debate many years ago though as I recall. It seems like some people thought he was Alpha NT rather than Gamma NT but I don't remember the specifics.

He HAS to be an intuitive. My bf (LSI) has very little patience for his movies, though I made him watch "blue jasmine" in theaters with me. He thought it was pretty good bc the female lead reminded him of me lol.

My bf's friend who is IEE male plus almost every IEE female I know say they love Woody Allen. NTs esp love "whatever works." I think the lead character in "whatever works" is based on woody allen, and that lead character is total NT imo.
