I get another towel or a bathmat to stand on as I dry myself. Anyone who does otherwise is a savage and a monster worthy of ostracization.

I like to get the towel and step out of the shower wrapped in the towel (not dried off). For some reason I don't like drying off in the shower.

I jump out of the window naked and dry off outside. Even in Winter.

I just put a towel down near the shower door and just get out and dry on top of that. I thought everyone did that. What the hell?

Towel sets here come with an extra towel that's smaller and intended for use as a mat.

I have two towels; one of them is a fresh towel I dried off with, the other is a towel that used to be a fresh one I dried off with, and I use that other one to sop up the huge water mess I leave when I get out of the shower and track water all over the bathroom, and sometimes even the hallways. Sometimes I'll just say fuck it and stand naked on the carpet in my bedroom and towel dry myself there. Everything's solid if I can just stand on the carpet, it'll dry just fine.

Once I get out of the shower I stand on one end of the towel while I dry my legs+feet, then once that's done I step off and dry everything else. Easy peasy.

i turn off the shower then i use my hands to squeegee off excess water. I grab my towel and dry myself from the top down. Eventually I lift up one leg, dry my foot, put that foot on the mat, then i dry the other foot, put that foot on the mat. no slippery tiles and I'm completely dry. I'm so happy that so many people responded to this thread, it's something that has bothered me for years. Alll of my exgfs always make such a huge mess and when i tell people about it in public it always causes such emotional arguments among friends and strangers alike. stay tuned for my next thread "shit'n'shower"

You can count on 16types to generously answer a thread topic such as this. We're here for you.

...I place an already-used towel on the floor outside my shower. I'm not a fan of shower mats because a) they get caught and wrinkled under the door swing and b) they get gross without constant cleaning.

Ok, i have evidence now that you're not LSE

My dual cousin and I absolutely insist on a shower mat.

I towel off in the shower problem solved.

Also @GuavaDrunk, that's only true if your shower is small as fuck. Mine is probably pretty little by most standards now, but the master bath in my old house had a beautiful spacious shower that was great for me and my girlfriend toweling off in.

My shower consist of a drain in the middle of the floor and a shower head. I get the floor wet.

I usually dry my hair & put the towel around me in the shower, because we don't have a lock in the bathroom door and I don't want to come out from behind the shower curtain without a towel in case someone runs in. I guess my feet will wet the floor when I walk out to dry in my room, but most of it will be wet already since I just showered. I don't see this as disrespectful. It's just water and will dry off on its own. We have our toilets separate from the bathroom, so anyone who goes in there is most likely going to take a shower so water on the floor shouldn't be a problem.

    I hate wet floors.

I've slipped and fallen a few times.

I dry off after I step out of the shower on a towel I've put on the floor and then i hang it over the side of the tub to use it a few more times just to be a mat.
Plus the floors here.. the water won't dry and it'll just cause the floor/creases by the tub to mold/or will cause ceiling damage downstairs.
