Sky Cries Mary does some droney stuff, but with a bit of uplifting in there too...
and... not sure if this fits in here or not because it builds to a pretty intense peak, but my favorite song by them (I couldn't find a clean sounding version on youtube, so here's a link to a streaming mp3)
