    Default LSI and Pain

So apparently we are always in chronic pain due to our inability to pay attention to our 'bode'.

My wisdom teeth are growing out at the moment and it's making my life miserable. I assume this would be similar for any other type.

Now... LSIs out there... are you in chronic pain? Do YOU need a shoulder to cry on?

?? LSIs don't have an inability to pay attention to their bodies. I have broken, sprained, bruised, scraped/cut myself more times than I can count though because something else was more important to accomplish than worrying about getting hurt. Recently I've damaged my wrist in some way - I just ignore it.

Of course, but instead of oil I require ketchup as lubricant because I'm an evil person.

I'm confused. I thought SLE's had the Si ignoring and the Te demonstrative, unless for some reason LSI's enjoy demonstrating just how little they give a shit about Si, lmao.

I've broken zero bones except for a hairline fracture because some fag fell ass first onto my foot. So apparently I care more than most of you guys.

Hey, pretty sure I'm a SLE. With the whole ignoring Si thing, I was wondering, do you find that when you are sick/hurt you focus more on your Si?

Personally, I ignore my Si most of the time but when I am sick or hurt (or recovering from a new tattoo) I am so focused on my Si that I find it actually pleasant. I kind of like being sick so that my thoughts can be more directed towards my inner sensations.

when I'm sick I'm usually feeling miserable and not pondering my Si, but I'll keep an eye out.

one thing I know is this:

as an Se user, I often depersonalize and become one with my environment. Its as if I am a cloud of electricity, a poltergeist that makes objects move. When I play dodgeball and I get the wheels rolling I get extremely agile minded, I love it. I can often only achieve this mindframe when playing video games and sports.

from what I understand, Si is more like when bruce lee says "water can flow, water can crash, be water my friend." He focuses entirely on himself and ignores the enviroment, and instead focuses on manipulating the shape of his own form. I don't know if all SLE's have identity problems, but I have great difficulty understanding myself, as I'm often entirely in tune with everything around me at all times. This also makes me impulsive and easily distracted. I think LSIs are more often much less distractible with regard to matters of identity and the self whereas I have a vision for what I want the environment to look like at some point in the future and ignore a lot of people until this vision is accomplished.

I mostly agree with you but why "neither one of you"? It's chwoey's first post, you can't possibly know for sure that he or she isn't SLE.

have I heard your reasons for why I'm not SLE yet? I'm always curious.

only thing I'm really open to is that I'm an extremely irrational LSI. I'm still contemplating that because the girls I believe are my "duals" are extremely Fe heavy and way more outgoing and friendly than I am.

You haven't, and you probably won't. I mostly enjoy you and your spirited responses to people who tell you you're not SLE; you're welcome to think you are for as long as you want in my book.

That's the thing I never really understand. If someone didn't pay attention to his body wouldn't it rather mean he is good at ignoring pain?
Anyways, go to the dentist because of your wisdom teeth if it hurts so much. Maybe they're not growing out correctly. I have grown out all of my wisdom teeth and it didn't hurt at all.

    wrong!

I just haven't been doin it right.

And I suspect depersonalization is a universal trait of extroversion.

Imo Dennis is completely LIE with a sadistic bent, especially in the later episodes when he is creepy as fuck, and Dee steps in and is like whoa that's too dark even for you. I think that was the episode where they faked a baby's funeral or something. It was hilarious though.

And Mac oozes Fe all over the place. He's not the thinker in the group, that's definitely Frank who I type ILE. Mac thinks he is super macho, confrontational, good at martial arts, when everyone else knows he isn't; Se-HA. Also he always enters with his trademark "heyyyo bitcheesssss" or something along those lines...an EIE male friend of mine makes the exact same type of entrance.

Then again I don't care to debate famous people/fictional character types, everyone has completely different viewpoints on this no matter who we're trying to type. I was mainly trying to say that I think DJA is Se-HA.

LSI-Se have higher pain tolerance and pay less attention to their bodies than LSI-Ti. LSI-Se seem more like they lead from the head or whatever and their necks seem stiffer... they seem to have more ability to laser-focus.

I had high pain tolerance when I was young, but now that I'm older I feel pain quite a bit more.

I'm frequently miserable because of discomfort... I have muscle strain quite frequently, perhaps it has to do with me being more like a dynamic type than a static one... according to victor gulenko's forms of cognition, causal determinist doesn't fit me well although I used to be okay at determining cause and effect and i did have a slow motion video state of mind, i was but never great at determining cause and effect and I'm not good with deductive logic. Really, the Se subtype is more into philosophy and is more sequential in their thinking and pays more attention to detail. It seems to me like EIE-Fe is Causal Determinist and LSI-Ti is dynamic, they really have a Delta ST vibe and they act kind of like Deltas as Vera Stratyevskaya described Deltas.

So much of socionics confuses me, but going by the dual nature of man, Fi should be my base function (in Beskova's articles, ESI also fits me a bit better than LSI; her LSI article fits my mother better though)... that's what you're supposed to do in research, is go to the author's documentation. But my Te, as described in dual nature of man or whether about facts, but especially as described in the dual nature of man, would be closer to in strength to 1D than 3D. But so would my Fe.

Going by videos of LSIs, and word usage, and all that, and my family history, I think I'm an LSI-Ti, who doesn't dualize well (EIE-Ni are especially terrible and inelegant for me as wife material, and they make the decisions and rule just about everything anyway). But according to the functions as described in Dual Nature of Man (and in sociotype.com's functions descriptions) ESI-Fi fits me better... the LSI and ESI articles on that site both fit me about equally well, although I don't really care much about morality; I care more about how society and the world works, but even then...
I'm sorry, but I'm psychologically disturbed.

My wife smashed her finger in her car door, it busted open her fingernail and she bled all over the place. She said "ow" and I turned around and saw that. She doesn't react to pain in a very dramatic way.
The Barnum or Forer effect is the tendency for people to judge that general, universally valid statements about personality are actually specific descriptions of their own personalities. A "universally valid" statement is one that is true of everyone—or, more likely, nearly everyone. It is not known why people tend to make such misjudgments, but the effect has been experimentally reproduced.

The psychologist Paul Meehl named this fallacy "the P.T. Barnum effect" because Barnum built his circus and dime museum on the principle of having something for everyone. It is also called "the Forer effect" after its discoverer, the psychologist Bertram R. Forer, who modestly dubbed it "the fallacy of personal validation".

Some people are genetically prone to higher pain tolerance. It's a thing in gingers.
