The Vargian typing system

[The Ineffable]

This is the alignment system in the RPG game called MYFAROG developed by the notorious Norwegian musician Varg Vikernes'. I'm going to write dow its dichotomies and descriptions, also they closest associations with the Jungian dichotomies, they way I see it:

- The contemplative is intellectual, introvert and likes to meditate, think or pray. [Extroverted]
The ecstatic on the other hand is more extrovert and likes wild dancing, gorging, is inclined to screaming and shouting or violence and combat, or other excitement. [Introverted]
- The harmonic is calm, peace seeking, balanced, he thinks through things before he acts and is conflict solving. [Irrational]
The dis-harmonic on the other hand is more hysterical, unbalanced, emotional and conflict seeking. [Rational]
- The spiritual always thinks about his existence in the afterlife. He thinks about the consequences of his actions on a spiritual level and believes in a life or at least some form of existence after death. [Intuitive]
The materialistic on the other hand only thinks about the consequences he will face in life. He hardly believes in a life after death, and if he does he doesn’t let this influence his life. [Sensing]
- The sympathetic is considerate, altruistic, kind and empathic. [Feeling]
The unsympathetic is more ruthless, egotistical and merciless. [Thinking]

The types would be:

Let's keep Vikernes' RPG, his political views and Burzum separated. Using ad-hominems one can't see this matter objectively. I think his alignment system is very interesting, definitely a step forward, I don't know though if he had inspiration from some classical RPGs or he is truly original. I am not "promoting" or "defending" Vikernes in any other aspects, I would consider such projection offensive.

I am Plutonic - all non-spiritual persons are materialistic in his system.

Too late and there isn't anything objective (I think) about a person who does and says stuff according to his own beliefs and even incorporates it in his RPG. I mean, if one can't keep his beliefs out for a minute when doing something, I would say it is one's own fault. Anyway, used it and well, got my type. Cool. I'm not complaining.

I can tell you I do hail from some kind of scene and I did know about Count Christian (Count Gayness would be appropriate as well) before he changed his name, I know him well enough not even having the "pleasure" meeting him and I can tell you that he is a laughing stock.

No, I'm not irritated at all - my third post in this thread says everything I wanted to say. Looks I am damn stupid thinking the things that you watch, listen to, read, make you and shape you to some extent (as long you allow it and accept it of course). It can be the upbringing in some famous person's case, too...

And I don't really know what kind of logiks you follow if you can't really figure it out on your own and I don't care about some person's status that doesn't really concern me, not even in the slightest.

I understand your concerns about being associated in a positive or neutral manner with someone whose views you oppose, but the topic does not target the author's person or political views. It is not the authors fault for one's failure to take notice of a good idea in RPG gaming. On the bright side of things, we are lucky enough Vikernes was not the one to discover electricity.

I lul every time I read about his "views", just like some of yours, and any one who preaches them on this site. Such views are so misguided and rooted in myth I wouldn't even know where to start and correct them, so I prefer to lul - way more healthy for me.

His numerous links in his writing towards Jung's "Wotan" essay, not to mention his RPG system is a slightly re-written version of Jung's "Psychological Types", etc.
