Default Left-Right Brain and Hair Part Theory

Are any of you familiar with the Hair Part Theory? I'd be curious to know your thoughts. In this theory, your hair part defines others' perceptions of you. The assumption is, if I were to look at you and see your hair parted to the left, I'd associate you with left-brained functions (intellect, power, confidence, dominance, logic).

If your hair is parted to the right, you'd assume right-brained functions (sensitive, caring, artistic, submission, emotion).

    Middle is neutral.

A good example is the original Superman films. Hollywood often uses this to their advantage for influencing your opinion of men and women alike.

Clark - parts to the right.

Superman - parts to the left

Here's a quick blog, which examines Lincoln and a few other key figures: http://hairparttheory.com/

The interesting thing is... how we choose to part our hair is different from what we see in the mirror. Even though I part to the right (from your view), I see a left part in the mirror.
And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't he more surely care for you?- Matthew 6:30

It's true that the motor regions of the brain connect with the muscles on the contralateral side (although there is some overlap and crossing over), but the colloquial hemispheric lateralization ("left brain" vs. "right brain") isn't really very accurate. Most men will part to the right because they are right handed and the "whorl" of the hair naturally goes a clockwise direction. Gay men are slightly more likely to have a counterclockwise whorl, but it's a very slim correlation:

"How could we forget those ancient myths that stand at the beginning of all races, the myths about dragons that at the last moment are transformed into princesses? Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love."

    left for me...now
but a few years ago, in my avatar it was right, doesn't matter imo.

I'll watch and see how others react if I switch it around back and forth on a weekly basis

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

My first thought was that you looked vaguely Arabic. However, on closer examination, you look like you have some Southeast Asian in you. (You share some facial similarities with a friend of mine who is half Vietnamese.)

I'm a fan of the zigzag parting. Mofos don't know what's coming.

Maybe in lab conditions filtering out all other extraneous details could have an effect on perception. But in reality there's so many other powerful subconscious factors that work towards influencing perception, I doubt it amounts to much, if anything.

My hair naturally parts to the left, if I push it to the right, it just finds its way back to the left.

I remember parting my hair as a child but I didnt have a clear whirl. Like my whirl was deformed and strewn all over my head.

I used to part to the right.
and hairdressers would constantly part it to the left. so I took it as a "...you really should part to the left, ugly"
    so I just left it.
    sometimes I switch it up.

so. if I part to the left...you people see it as having been parting to the right.

I'm not quite sure I get the theory in the OP.
    so I'm seen as sensitive?

also...I started staring at your pic in your avatar...and I forgot my sense of left or right.

My amazing hair squirts a virulent water cannon of testosterone at every passing female and truck, thus ensuring they accept my dominance and superman-ness. My left eyebrow alone has solved more terror plots than PRISM.
