Well white rich straight men just tend to be selfish assholes and not really caring that they are that way, they just kinda thrive off it. It can be rather obnoxious. I think I might be more scared of the straight men who were never really empowered or privileged - except for the fact their orientation wasn't really discriminated against, but angry and gleeful and trigger-happy redneck straight white dudes. That aren't very bright either. This type scares me because it seems like it's the type to do the most real harm based on faulty premises. These people feel super angry because they do see a bunch of gay dudes and women from rich uppity liberal cities being successful while they've been bitter truck drivers all their lives. It's not so much they are 'rich asshole white str8 men' but that they are poor asshole str8 men who only wished they were rich. It's not like rich white straight asshole men are going to genuinely care about their other bros at the bottom either, of course. Only pretend to and it's really sad to see them get manipulated by some rich douche.
Oh just a minor pet peeve (and I don't mean to take away from your message) I am wary about calling cis men "cis" because it's not really an identity they have for themselves? Cuz yeah technically that might be what they are but I just like to refer them as 'str8 men' cuz it seems more accurate. Anyway I don't know, just something petty.
Also, the world just isn't naturally fair. People mollycoddle me in ways they would never a straight man (that lungs likes to point out to me when I'm being an asshole lol), but there is this faulty premise that gay men are ALWAYS mollycoddled or treated with kid gloves in america or something, that milo tries to speak about and it's so stupid and not true. My statement refers much to the institutional power that these people have macro-wise and by birth (as cis, as white, etc), the ones you describe are those who fail to rise into this elysium - exactly. What I say is not to be anxious but taking responsibility and pride with your orientarion, not being a target but you yourself a powerful person who won't let fear control you. Fire with fire is a bad idea - it perpetuates the very systematic oppression we live in as marginalized groups. Power is always an equation, one side can't go without the other.
