    Default Seriously pondering EII

So I'm seriously considering EII for my type.

    Here is why:

I'm *really* sensitive to the general aura and atmosphere around me. I just feel extremely connected to, and in tune with the emotions of people around me and I'm sort of good at coaxing people into better states and moods. People describe me as being "zen." I'm just super sensitive, but very calm about it.

I get really excited about new ideas and stuff. When something excites me I just *have* to dive right in and explore it. I will research stuff until I about keel over. It's pretty intense. I love learning to get a better insight on other people's ideas and beliefs. I'm a sort of "big picture" thinker.

Umm.. that's about it for now, but EII seems increasingly plausible for me.

    Some pictures:

Please take this seriously, Radio. I know that's difficult for you, but try.

Why do you think EII instead of IEI? Don't align with Beta values?

Right. I can't really relate to betas. They're just so dramatic and fixated on power.

I'm a lot more grounded than that.

I'm no expert, but the part about being sensitive to the general aura and being in tune with others' emotions and coaxing them seems like Fe to me. I can relate to the calm and zen-like demeanor as well. In me I have viewed this as my Ni keeping me very steady and resilient through turbulence, remaining sort of distanced from moment to moment changes. I can feel them, sometimes very painfully, but it doesn't usually move me to change my appearance or behavior in any big way. It usually takes something happening consistently over time to really affect my mood.

I also relate to this point about researching stuff, and getting insight into other's ideas and beliefs. I relate this to trying to create a more complete big picture and an inner understanding of what is perceived. To me this seems more Ni and Ti than Ne and Te or Fi. I think wanting to understand someone's beliefs is very different than having beliefs yourself.

From what I have read of your posts, you have always seemed IEI to me, though leaning Ni for sure. My understanding of socionics is very limited at this point, but I get the sense that IEIs can often be much more subdued than the others in the beta quadra when it comes to drama and power.

Not that I think this is of much help, but you remind me of Aivo a lot, and she self-types IEI.

Also.. not all betas are dramatic or obsessed with power. I know plenty of damn boring "let's just stay at home and do nothing"- ones. Not that you seem like that.

My understanding of is similar. The way I understand it information are things like the effusion, radiation of people and things. What is commonly refereed to as an aura, feel of a person, things. While information are personal bonds between people and people and things, how and in what way one is personally attached to someone or something. What is commonly refereed to as a stance, like. I also interpret what she said as being attuned to information in her environment.

Have you considered ILE? Not because I or you might think it describes you best, but in a why not kind of way?

Being proficient in doesn't make you a merry type by default.
Serious types are stronger in than merry types.

Not sure why this is so often forgotten.

Scapegrace is so EII like Narc is a serious contestant. But I am very kind...

... and am going to welcome them with salt and bread.

I am allowed to do so by the decree of EII convent under their absence. Also I can issue a special regulation concerning death and blahblah, so everything is fine. Relax and don't let worries kill you - let me do it.

Scapegrace, when in doubt, consult forms of thinking. This should be conclusive, if you put your mind into it.

And Absurd, I would advice against salt, bearing in mind what kind of welcome Narc is expecting of you.

Is this thread satirical? Anyways if you're serious, I think this makes a good argument for IEI imo.

I'm sure having homosexual sex is tied to 4-dimensional Se. Loosen up your mind so that ideas can fall through it.

I did initially, but only briefly. I don't really care much about how I feel about things, so it didn't seem like a good fit. I am much more interested in the emotional atmosphere. Also, I am way more interested in Ni than Ne. And, I am very attracted to Ti and Se. Si can easily irritate me. I don't have a very firm grasp of what Te is, so I won't comment on that. I have some good ILI friends, and I get along with them fine.

Would you say more about what makes you think you might have Fi as a base function? Or did you pretty much cover it?

I like your pictures too, btw.

Sometimes I do forget this. What would you say is a possible discernible difference between Fe coming through as a creative function (as in IEI) versus Fe as an ignoring function (as in EII)? I'm thinking Fe creative would be a preferred mode, and carefully and cautiously applied, and Fe ignoring would not be a preferred mode and just come out from time to time when really needed.... a person may not be very aware of it all for those reasons. Is this correct?

Maybe what is confusing her is a possible inability to "turn off" her sensitivity, as I think one can often do with their creative function. I find it hard to turn off my sensitivity to the emotional environment, but I can turn on and off my participation in trying to affect it.

You seem ILI to me, or maybe IEI. But I don't know you in real life, so it's really difficult for me to type you. (Sorry, I know this Isn't much helpful.)

I should hope that I'm not at this point in my life. I've been writing and re-writing for rather a long time.

You, on the other hand, have 46 posts worth of socionics experience.

Gather all of those descriptions you re-worded and send my way, Scape. I'm hosting new and improved Socionics site and I need all the support I can get, so your wikisocion translations are welcome.

Judging someones ability by the higher number of posts they have here is one of the dumbest things i've heard today, thanks.

As for you writing and re-writing stuff and your ability at it, i'm not so sure, I seem to remember you posting something about an essay you had to write, if I recall there was disagreement in your interpretation of what you were being asked to do, if I remember all this right...

So are being serious or did you just start this thread this to see if people are going to say you're not EII even though you reworded a description of an EII?

Scape, this isn't really working out the way you thought. Narcotics on this forum can be really hard on people after prolonged use.

You generally seem more Ni to me, Scape, but I haven't interacted with you much. I wouldn't say EII is completely out of the question. Have fun, whatever you decide.

You seem naturally pretty in your pictures. You always remind me of Kimberly the Pink Ranger:

Kimberly the pink ranger was my idol as a child.

I am seriously serious. This is not in jest.
