Default Minimalistic Living -- Micro Homes & Spaces

I'm absolutely in love with this idea and the values surrounding it.
Requires the creative utilization of space because it is so limited.

I love objects that serve multiple functions.

I've always been satisfied with the idea of forever living in a well-designed and functional apartment or cottage. Hah.
There's a freedom in it really.

As one of the guys in this video says: "I like everything being meaningful..and there for a reason."

This guy's house is a little extreme. 89 square feet. But it's cool that he can move it around.
And I would hide my face in you and you would hide your face in me, and nobody would ever see us any more.

Without having watched any of the videos (though I saw the thumbnails, that's as good, right?!) they all look really cramped and odd. I think I prefer having more space even at the expense of having less stuff. Though I've just moved to a college room so I guess I'll have to adjust.
    Warm Regards,

Yeah, they can be awkward and uncomfortable. But certainly not if done properly. I really like the first video a lot. I recommend you at least see how the space actually functions.

I guess it's more the overarching idea of making a space work as best as you can, despite limitations. The first video is a room intended to be an apartment. He's not tuning a closet into a studio. He's using the space as it was intended.
Imagine what the space would be like if you just set it up like a typical studio apartment -- throw a bed in there. A desk, maybe a small table to eat at. He optimized the room to take advantage of what limited space was there. He made it work with ingenuity and careful consideration of what is really necessary in order to be happy, all while maintaining positive aesthetics.
And I would hide my face in you and you would hide your face in me, and nobody would ever see us any more.

Thanks for posting those videos. I love the idea of making do with small spaces. Of course, they would never work for me because I have so much junk! But I loved the style of the first apartment and how the functionality harmonized with the décor and nothing was overdone. I guess people call that "organic." You could tell it was his style and very unforced. I also like that he was trying to use reclaimed materials.

The girl in the second video has that girly chandelier and bed, and then a quote from Apocalypse Now on her window shade. I would love to know the story behind that! I am so impressed that she was able to make 78 sq. ft. work for her.

Compress the junk. Or systematically get rid of it.
