I'm new to socionics and I'm very interested in how you here would place me in a visual identification.

Well, I see korpsey already pointed out you look like DA in first photo, I would just add you look like korpsey in second one after you cut off your hair and glued it to your chin. Anyhow, are you new to MBTI as well?

Funny then that you'd ask people to determine your typified mentality through a handful of still pix.

Ok thanks for giving an explanation. I think it depends though, my face is expressive but pictures doesn't capture that, or I just want to be cool enough to not smile in pictures.

I actually am from the frozen wasteland, yes.

Yeah, IEI, Fe subtype I think. But in Enneagram I'm cp6w7 Sx/So so I'm a closet SLE too.

    Tack så mycket!

Yes, there is type-analytic utility in looking at pictures and making inferences about their contents. I hold that this form of evidence and its evaluation should be considered among others such as writing samples, observations of social interactions, attribution style, personal idiosyncrasies, etc. etc. etc. However, if you like to watch people play Pin the Tail on the Donkey, asking them to type solely by VI is a hot ticket.

Ok let's try things from your end so that I can see how your thought process works. Um, what do you VI him? And, from what he's written about himself, what can you type him?

Let us keep in mind that I joined this forum in 2004. I am long past my socionical honeymoon phase, which lasted about three weeks. When I was fourteen.

First of all I don't think that "VI" is a terribly reliable method of "typing" someone. Are you also into phrenology? I think you can tell a very limited things about a person's nature through photographs. Especially in the self portraits people are so very fond of posting.

And from what he has written about himself? He has written 181 words with very little real content. At this point I wouldn't venture to "type" him at all. I have to accumulate facts about a person before I assume to "type" them.

I don't just haphazardly project upon them the personality I would like them to have.

The things that stick out for me with regards to what he says is the way in which he says them. If you look closely to the first line.

"I'm new to socionics and I'm very interested in how you here would place me in a visual identification."

So I interpret that to mean he's interested in a process of things; that was easy right? He would be a process type.

    Do you see that?

So, if you know the external concepts of Socionics, you can merge them all in like a laser.

    LSEs have shitty grammar? Sure.

(Why are you attempting to instruct me when you're very well aware that I think your reasoning is profoundly shoddy. No. I do not see.)

Well, for one thing, I'm hoping that you will understand how I think and arrive at my conclusions because you often judge others in relation to yourself and what method you see appropriate. If you understood mine, wouldn't you say "oh ok that's what she's doing?"

Are you aware that you are not explaining your process of deduction? Let me do it for you: "I think therefore it is." Well, Descartes was a stupid asshole who -- like you -- had a difficult time moderating his ideas and culling the good from the bad. He just vomited them all over volumes.

This is not about the fact that I am not open to exploring new ways of thinking. Methods different from my own. I read a shit ton too much philosophy for that to be plausible. I am extremely interested in how others think. Critical of it? Sometimes. Okay. Often.

My issue with you is that you cannot and will not critically examine your own thoughts beyond their first conception and that you form your opinions far too quickly for them to be reliable.
