    Default MBTI Personality Types Test

Found a test I haven't sat before which is based on the writings of Carl Jung and Isabel Briggs-Myers:

    http://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test

It gave me the result of:

    Your personality type: INTP.

    Strength of individual traits: I - 18%, N - 40%, T - 4%, P - 8%.

I already know what result I'll get, so I'm exempt from taking it.

And that's why it took so long.

How the fuck does one "master" their senses?

"Why yes I have mastered all of my senses. I'm a human bloodhound."

    These questions are such bullshit.

"The lack of harmony is very annoying for you."

The lack of harmony in WHAT?

    Your personality type: INTJ.

    Strength of individual traits: I - 88%, N - 36%, T - 46%, J - 26%.

I like how they never tell you straight out what kind of test it is.

Some questions are so esoteric it's impossible to answer them properly or some dichotomies are so stupid I don't see why I must choose between them when I clearly value both because it's situational. Anyway, old news are old:

    Your personality type: INTP.

    Strength of individual traits: I - 68%, N - 48%, T - 14%, P - 26%.

It's been a while since the last time I took an MBTI test. The result is identical to my first result of an MBTI-style test ever, but this one features some more categories/dichotomies.

The test can be found here.

i wonder if i answered in a way that led to extp since i'm dating an infp :/

but i'm definitely extroverted based on the test; i consciously noticed i was answering in ways that would lead to E and P and they seemed accurate, even though socionically i'm an Ij. i'm surprised i scored so high on T. i think its because i frequently answered that i'm good at hiding my feelings or that i don't show my feelings...more of a subdued Fe thing, i think.

I just wonder how you answer the questions they use to determine introverted and extroverted. I like taking the quizzes with Olly because between us we sort of work out the context of the question through feedback. It is interesting when I break down the question that I see how it t can have different meanings to two people, who are clearly the same "type", but then we can come to some kind of understanding.

Grab a friend and take it again?

I answer them as I "feel" them. like "do you feel better after hanging with people" hmm mostly not.
"do you rather stay home and read a book or go out and party" hmmm rather read a book.

I know what i have to fill in to get extroverted. Truth is, i'm socially introverted and that's what these questions test for. I'm not too sure there is actually any real correlation between that dimension and IM's.

edit: lol i had a few people do MBDT for me a while back. they all got introverted thinking types for me.

Yeah from your video I saw you as introverted as well. That's why I kept teasing you with your IEI test results since I joined.

Edit: I don't let others answer for me but I do ask for some clarification, sometimes. I can quickly disregard their opinion if it doesn't feel right, without trying to justify my answer... unless I am getting all analytical on them.

Yeah I understood, I just thought about a situation where some other person's imput was included and that's what came up. I actually think if I did a test with someone else it'd go like this.

me: "soo question one, I think this is what they mean" friend: "yes, could be in this and this context" me "ok, i'll click this" friend "are you fucking insane? you're not like that, you're like the other side of the slider" me "but i FEEEEL like that inside" friend "you are a fucking robot man, you don't have feelings" me: "but but but I cry at movies" friend "yes because you've got popcorn in your eyes!" me: "ok ok lemme click the oposite of the scale then"

Me: "question two" friend "yes, click "I like attention"" me "but i DONT like attention" friend "well, in that case you should not behave like you do, cuz you're always drawing attention" me "It's just that i'm tall, have a loud voice and quirky interests" friend "exactly, you're an attention whore" me "butbutbut you said i'm a robot" friend "yes, you're faking the emotions to get attention" me *clicks "I like attention".

    ^^

    Edit: @Aylen @MegaSpongeUSA @Miss S @FDG

I'll do a colaborative test if any of you want to, where your impression of me in brussels will be weighed in, as well as discussion about the questions. ^^ Let's make it a socionics test not the mbti ones. Anyone up for that?

Ok, I admit I cry during certain moments in movie, "Braveheart" ripped my heart right out of my chest. BUT, I would rather, unintentionally, be seen totally naked before letting someone see me cry at a movie. I hide it so well by having a controlled cry. I will casually wipe my eyes when tears are streaming down my face and never make a sound to give it away. No one has ever mentioned my crying at a movie (that I can think of right now) so I am thinking they either know better or they just did not perceive it under my shield

No one has ever mentioned my crying at a movie (that I can think of right now) so I am thinking they either know better or they just did not perceive it under my shield
I used to be kinda ashamed of it so I controlled it as a teenager, but lately i'm fine with sobbing in cinema's, and at home I will actually be making soft whimpering sounds of dispair, even if it's not really "sad" sad but more "touching"

This is one of the reasons why mbti doesn't translate well to socionics.
A socionics Fi ego type and an introverted F type are more likely to prefer just hanging with 1-2 other people as opposed to 5, 10, large room full of people. An Fi base/creative is more interested in individual interactions, attractions/repulsions, etc. Crowds/parties are like forests, but the Fi is focusing on the relationships each individual tree has to another individual tree. 2 people have 2 relationships..how A feels towards B, and how B feels towards A. Add another person and now there's 6: AB, AC, BA, BC, CA, CB relationships to track. Add a fourth person and now there's 12:AB, AC, AD, BA, BC, BD, CA, CB, CD, DA, DB, DC. And this didn't even cover how a person feels about themselves or their own actions (AA, BB, CC, DD)

And then, add in the idea that it's not even about the whole person, but about individual aspects to a person, or their actions, etc. And the Fi info between two or three people is far far greater. Talk about exhausting!!

This is one reason why i think enfps are the most introverted of the extroverted feeling types.

i like being in crowds or at parties, but i only really pay attention to the people im there with or who i'm talking to.

if its an unsplintered group conversation of 10 people i vaguely know, though, i just kind of space out.

i consider myself socially introverted but i love hanging out with people and i'd definitely rather go to a party than read a book.

I was thinking even as i wrote it that what i wrote might apply more to delta fi than gamma fi.
    Thanks for clearing that.

I fail to see see how judging/prospecting description here is any different from the socionics definition of rationallity/irrationality It describes the same thing (same behaviors).
