Default Music To manipulate your emotions

Here I have music which I suspect emulates certain emotions. I'd like to hear what you think. Am I on the mark with these? Am I wrong? Do you have any suggestions? Thoughts on the topic?

I personally experience this when I stand at the bottom of the deep end of the pool, I suspect it could be akin to the E8w9 feelings of safety and sanctuary from a harsh cutthroat "real world":

hmm, well I know whitenoise manipulates emotions as well, such as trigger noises such as fingernails on glass bottles etc:

This REALLY calms me down. Its almost like a form of acupuncture, every tap sorta pierces into me. In a way its kinda grating, but at the same time very relaxing.

7:10 turns me into a pile of mush

When music doesn't "manipulate emotions", what does it do to the listener?
What is art when it doesn't affect one's emotions?

The tremolo picked section that begins at around 2:54 gives me serious goosebumps.

Here are two songs I wrote without words that are made using orchestra samples. First one is supposed to be very epic and grandiose sounding, the second is supposed to be more mysterious.

Isn't emotional manipulation the entire point of music?

Tolstoy seemed to agree with you.

I disagree, music takes far too much time to get to the point.

If the reactions of others are similar to mine, it's just that they feel uncomfortable trying to attach music to specific Socionics and Enneagram traits. My compromise was that instead I posted something that affects me emotionally on some level, although I didn't put it into detail.

I sense a great deal of neuroticism from you that is expressed in a way that is hard for most people to relate to, myself included, but it is incredibly apparent to me. I also think you've gone past the point where Socionics is beneficial to your life.

The only neuroticism you're sensing is a hightened speed in which I percieve time relative to your own my ENTj friend alabama I like fried chicken abu dhabi.

Seeing as you were talking about types, when I go to 4 I feel like this:

It's one of my favourite songs of all time, and this is my favourite version. I have to be careful about listening to it and reading the poem it was inspired by (45 Mercy Street by Anne Sexton). I can be in a really positive mood and it will change in a heartbeat. There is no poem or song out there that describes my feelings when I look back on things and get upset about them.

I agree with whoever called you neurotic. You should give this thread time to grow out instead of whine for more attention. I mean from a purely utilitarian perspective, just bump it if it dies. You have essentially done that four times but not efficiently. What kind of information are you looking for? You want us to post videos of music and relate them to the enneagram, socionics, and so forth?

I don't want to feel sorry for you.

    I want to love you.

    There's a big difference.

DJ, just let me love you. It's not 'gay'. It's just love.

(tho let's be honest: love is pretty gay)

You know that thing they used to do in english class where they'd read a poem and expect you to interpret the symbolism and everyone always thought it was "bullshit" or stupid or something?

That's basically what I'm doing via music as it applies to typology.

And I have no idea how my response makes me look neurotic, but sure I guess I'm neurotic.
