Getting tired of your dual?

So I'm talking to another dual. She laughs hysterically whenever I go on my cursing sprees and harass her, and that's nice.

But we spend a lot of time doing things that are more in line with her interests, entertaining her Ni. Its not that she's selfish, its just that I haven't really made much of an effort to bring in my loud obnoxious Se world into the equation just yet.

I'm curious to know how much I can stand being with her. When I'm done talking to her I feel kinda icky because I'm all nice and shit. I act completely different around her.

It feels as if I should be out and about, doing Se things, and I take her along with me every once in a while, then when I'm worn out and exhausted I can come back to her for a slow paced soothing lifestyle. However, her lifestyle isn't something I'd want to live on a continual basis. I need my Se oxygen every so often.

Does anyone else feel the same? Do you ever grow tired of your dual? If so, to what extent?

well, cuz its an LDR. So we're still figuring that out. mostly my Se activities involve loud music, video games. The biggest compromise we've found between Ni and Se seems to be multiplayer video games and intense roleplay via skype, haha.

I recently read that the Super-id functions represent self pity and neediness. So for me it would be Fe and Ni. When I enter my Dual's world of melancholic images and limbo-esque emotions I start to feel like a lost child that needs to be taken care of by IEI, and I'm just kinda like... yuk... Although I still find it interesting to dabble in every once in a while. It doesn't seem sustainable though. This is probably another IEI-Ni. I wonder if I'd prefer an IEI-Fe? Are there any IEI-Fe's on this website?

Totally. I usually play D&D and make innovative inventions in my mother's basement but then that annoying SEI asks me to come up for Si dinner and then I'm like "Nah, mom, I want to do my alpha NT thing" but then she comes down and smiles real Fe-like and I can't say no to her.

Admittedly, my SLE boyfriends Se styled lifestyle can be a bit much at times. What he doesn't seem to understand is that I actually do enjoy doing crazy things with him... Just not 24/7. After awhile I have to retreat back to my Ni world and recharge. Despite that, I thirst for adventure, and cherish that he's given me a bit of that. He wanted to go sky diving and was afraid to ask me at first because he wasn't sure I'd go for it. Truthfully, I'd love to do stuff like that with him... he just seems to think that I'll hold him back and keep him from having a good time. Meh. Whatever.

At the same time, he can't really fully immerse himself into my little Ni tangents, so I often try to avoid getting into them with him. While I can see he definitely very influenced and drawn into that kind of thing, he can't really conceptualize things the way I can. He can't get in very deep, not the same way I can get in deep with my EIE friends, at least. It's not a natural state for him, though I can tell he loves that part of me.

If you think about it, it's kind of comical that the macho jock roughneck is duals with the gay little emo poet. Worlds clash, yet we fit together so uniquely .

Fantasizing about having a pillow fight and how fun it would be (then doing it), playing dungeons and dragons, reading to explore other worlds, pondering the multiverse, or as more often the case with some of the girls I talk to, romantic images of running hand in hand with your soul mate through apple orchards.
