    Default process&tactical vs. result&strategic

how would you guys explain the significant difference in these dichotomies? they seem like more or less the same thing.

(theoretically there should be a lot of difference since several types are tactical+result or process+strategic)

    Tactical
1.Focus on methods, and manipulate them, with goals unsettled.
2.Goals are defined by, and modified to fit methods.
3.Prefers to expand options. Doesn't like to have too few of them.
    Process
1.Do things sequentially, from the beginning to the end.
2.Immersed to a process and tends to single-tasking.
3.Focus between the beginning and the end of processes.
4.More inclined to read texts on books or computer from beginning to the end.
5."Of course the answer is right, since we followed the correct procedure."

    Strategicals
1.Focus on goals, and manipulate them, with methods unsettled.
2.Methods are defined by, and modified to fit goals.
3.Prefers to defend goals. Doesn't like to be forced to deviate from them.
    Result
1.Do things randomly, seemingly doing them from the end to the beginning.
2.Detached from processes and tends to multitasking.
3.Focus on the beginning and the end of processes.
4.More inclined to read texts on books or computer randomly, maybe reading random paragraphs or chapters.
5."Of course we followed the correct procedure, since we got the right answer."

Tactical and strategic work off of inert/contact intuition/sensing while result/process works off of the direction of information processing.

Al-through the descriptions have some similarities, the basis for the dichotomies are very different.

I will do a little thought experiment later on what inert intuition and inert sensing vs contact intuition and contact sensing might be, the process/result dichotomy is well discussed I think but someone else can go into that.

I think the terminology for tactical/strategic is misleading as well.

Tactical: Sj, Np : Any information is dealt with and incorporated by either setting it further or closer, depending on its relevance to that type, as timespace continues. Goals change depending on this.
Strategic: Nj, Sp : The goal is primary, with relevant information either set in place for it, changed, or ignored.

They are inverse flows of one another. They refer to how information is used for oneself. Is it continuously packed away for when needed or targeted for something specific.

Process: dynamic negativist (algorhythmic) and static positivist (cause and effect): each part of the information set is correct, or relation between each set of information is the correct path, so everything should be correct. Thus, all parts are the sum of the whole. Cause/Effect, the shortest relation, are the parts to the entire algorhytm, which the entire known sequence. Think of an entire line, with each point creating the whole. This is how these two types relate to this type.

Result: static negativist (holographic) and dynamic positivist (opportunist): all sides of the information set are equivelent, so everything is correct. Thus, all of the numerous holographic aspects are accounted for. Think of an abstract shape of information, with the intersecting elements highlighted as points of opprtunity. That is how these two types relate into this type.

Kassie, I hope I answered your question. They speak about two very different ideas of infromation metabolism.

sorta, jadae. real life hypotheticals or examples would be superb though. i can grasp how they're different theoretically. is process/result observed more in communication and tactical/strategic more in behavior?

Maybe later in "person"? I dont want to be hijacked into argument by bringing in personal life details. Yes @ your question, for the most part.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE
